This temple turned out to be the pick of the day for us. It is on the way to Eklingji and Shrinathji temples, and if you love sculptures and architecture, you can easily spend a good amount of time here.
The Sas-Bahu (mother-in-law and daughter-in-law) temple as every one calls it is a misnomer. It is actually Sahastrabahu temple (One with a thousand hands)- which became Sas-Bahu over years of mispronunciation.
The sculptures reminded us of the Belur and Halebid Hoyasala temples. Beautifully carved pillars and ceilings are the highlights - as well as some intricate sculptures on the exterior walls. If you look closely, you might find some erotic art as well.
Do not miss this place if you are headed north from Udaipur - to Shrinathji and Eklingji
