The first thing that made me book this hotel is that it is just 4kms away from the railway station. I had a business meeting and i booked 3 palace rooms for me and my colleagues. It had a lakeview that made me feel i am in heaven.
The busy 3days that i had in udaipur relaxed me with taj spa. It was too good. The pries are bit high but again you cant complain as in return you are getting something you would never get anywhere.
The dining places jharoka and neel kamal took me by surprise by their variety, especially the contemporary food of neel kamal was what can you say shaahi..
Overall great food, splendid location, exquisite scenery and royal rooms converted my business trip into a memorable one for sure. I will definitely visit this hotel back with my family.

A world class hotel, words may fall short talking about it, but not Taj Lake Palace's heritage and prestige. I visited Taj Lake Palace with my wife and its more enjoyable than our honeymoon in Mumbai/Goa. The location is out of this world. Exciting thing about it is the transportation to the hotel, I believe it would be the only hotel in India to have a royal boat for reaching the hotel. This palatial hotel is like the one seen in Indian Movies. Such a wonderful lobby, excellent carvings on the interior walls, spacious and comfortable rooms and very helpful front desk, the combination is truly unique.

The Taj lake Palace has a dream setting in the middle of a lake with distant hills surrounding it. The typical Rajasthani decor is eye catching. - all public area have the most gorgeous wall hangings and paintings. The rooms are spacious - some with magnificent views of the lake. Every comfort is catered to. The Indian restaurant has reasonable Rajasthani food but is overpriced and one can get much better food elswhere in Udaipur. A hotel really worth visiting

Staying in Taj Lake Palace like a dream come true. You will get everything you expect out of a luxury hotel. As hotel is located in the centre of a lake and you have to travel by the hotel boat to get to it then shower of rose petals from roof during welcome gives you experience like you are a princess. That luxury experience was really unbeatable. Their Cultural program, food, rooms, interior decoration, carving on the walls, everything was really a heritage experience.

this gleaming marble structure risng from the lake is breath taking. just visited it for lunch, then my friends and i extended our stay in udaipur to spend a couple of days here.
every corner is beautiful, whether u look over the lake, the aravalli mountains in the distance, or the other palace.
you feel like royalty living here, but with modern amenities that we are used to. it has stayed true to the original palace arcitecture, the changes made are in keeping with the era and times.
an excellent spa, good food, local and european, couteous staff, amazing sight seeing, made this one of my best short holidays. look forwrad to going there again, for a longer stay hopefully, with my family.

Being an Architect, it was my dream to stay at the magnificient Lake Palace at Udaipur....My husband helped me realise my dream. He took me there for a stay.
What an experience it was, of royalty. It all started with the Luxury car comimg to pick us up at the airport.
Then, it was a boat ride to the palace. ( though, it was a pity that there was not enough water in the lake at that time)
And a Traditional Royal welcome with the flowers. Later, there was heritage tour in the evening.
Lovely rooms. Amazingingly personalised service.
The pool was not so impressive though..
At any given time, the staff made us feel special and royal. We were served a special dinner on the roof top with two exclusive butlers at our service.
The traditional Dal Bati we had for dinner was simply delicious.
Memorable experience indeed.
