Best roof terrace in Udaipur. Relax with your book and a bottle of kingfisher on one of their 4 poster loungers bathed in sun from dawn til dusk, at which point the restaurant comes alive and you can dine al fresco over looking the main palace lit up across the far side of the lake. Rooms are comfortable and clean and provide the sort of rustic charm you would expect in this part of the world.

I would highly recommend a visit to the restaurant Ambrai a stones throw away. The best food i had during my whole trip.

We stayed here for 4 nights and were fortunate enough to experience all the wonders of Diwali during our stay. The views from the roof top are unrivalled in Udaipur and the hospitality by all staff unparalleled. The room offered welcomed character and were equipped the necessary AC to keep it cool. It was also nice and close to what quickly became our favourite lunchime spot, The Ambrei. If you're looking for respite in a reasonably priced hotel with helpful staff, that allows you to take in Udaipur at your leisure, then Lake PIchola is the place to stay.

Rooms were pretty average but large. Nice bay windows overlooking lake. Not very well maintained. Have to wait for hot water after turning on switch for water heating. What was highlight of this hotel was the rooftop restaurant. At night the whole city lights up and the palace is across this hotel. Most memorable experience...

I really liked staying in this hotel. Nice rooms, location is very good. Close to City Palace but fortunately this area Hanuman ghat is not that busy as Lahl ghat. Especially the person working at the front office Mr
Mahendr Singh was very helpful. I had an accident and fell down. Both knees have open wounds. He helped me very well. Thanks for all the help. I still miss sipping a glass of wine on the roof terrace.

We stayed at this hotel for a night. On arrival I thought it looked quite nice. Once shown to the room I thought it looked pretty worn and shabby. The balcony I thought was eye catching and walked straight outside, I noticed the chairs were worn and diry, the balcony floor was covered in poo and dead flies and stuff, which so easily could have been swept, and ants all over the place, this put me off of sitting on the balcony straight away. Few stains on the sheets, but got used to the fact that most places in india have stained sheets, the towels are always worn and a bit grim too. The bathroom was okay, and the shower did have hot water, which was a bonus. It was okay, but would I stay here again or recommend it, no I wouldn't.
