udaipur stay was a impromptu plan and we got booked into this hotel.. i immediately read reviews on tripadvisor, and was little hesitant after reading them..

however, the hotel experience was decent, pleasant and nice :P the front staff was courteous and the manager met us and asked us about the stay etc etc.. the rooms are neat for a night stay.. families with kids will feel comfortable. the bed quality is good.. however,, the towels and tv need serious improvement!

the lounge near the restaurant looked perfect for a evening gossip session... the pool is inviting and upto the standard of the mid-budget hotel..

only 2 negative points were highlighted in my experience : the breakfast menu is very limited and food is average.. the pricing is little high (maybe some travellers will feel that)!

plus points : interesting photos (mostly of art, dance and culture) adorn the walls of the hotel with info about it.. i gained new trivia thanks to this..

DONT order schezwan babycorn from room service.. its just silly babycorn friend wrongly after being coated in tasteless besan. no chinese sauce as one would expect.

Though the cleanliness of rooms is noticeable, the property is quite highly priced than the offerings, it has.

Worst experience, we had was with hot water, which is basic necessity at any Hotel (even if not 2-3 starred like Paras), specially during winter time like this. Room Service Menu & Dinner quite highly priced.

One need to request for food items, during complimentary breakfast, which gives a feeling that they are offering it as a favour.

Overall Service needs immediate attention & guest should be treated better than just one of the customers.

This would help get the good value of the property, Paras has.

Room Tip: Rooms with garden or pool View are better ! Please make sure, you add dinner as part of package (ap...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Originally we had planned to stay for 2 days but after visiting the hotel we decided to stay for one more day.

It's nice, clean, comfortable hotel with 2 lifts, small swimming pool, comfortable lounge, restaurant.

Room was big size, clean, with TV. Enough points for mobile charging.

Break-fast was the best part. It has a enough items with varieties, suitable for every taste. Food was good quality.

Staff is polite and courteous.

Overall, very good quality hotel with good recommendation.

Room Tip: Swimming pool facing room

We had a one night booking of 4 rooms @ Paras Mahal. Prior to the check in we had seen the hotel on their website and must say we were looking forward. They do call themselves as a Luxury boutique hotel and it ends there. The property is great and nicely maintained with a large garden and a pool etc.

The rooms do not match the aesthetics of the outdoors and are not in a good shape. All rooms had a typical smell wet laundry , we had to request them to spray air fresheners. The bath had the shaver socket just besides the wash basin and was not covered to avoid any water seeping in which was scary.

The indoors had no lights on till around 6.44 pm and it had turned extremely dark including the hall ways. Wonder why was that.. were they saving electricity???

The most surprising bit was the room service menu and rates. Sky High. I found the rates very high for the standard of the hotel. Thankfully we had Breakfast included in the plan which again was not upto the mark. Most of the food suffered terribly in quality and guests had to queue up various basic things like Roti and Juice.

Maybe it was the Diwali rush which would be the reason but thats what counts doesn't it.
Overall

Room Tip: Pool facing rooms are good. Book a plan with food and breakfasts included.

I would firstly like to apologize for any shortfalls that you experienced whilst at the Hotel and for any negative impact this had on the overall enjoyment of your stay. Hotel Paras Mahal benefits from a high level of returning guests due to the high standards that we usually achieve. I have discussed your comments with key managers and take this opportunity to address the issues.
I will immediately review our linen quality and take corrective action, thank you for letting me know.

I have done a complete check with each of the issues raised by you so very strongly and it is regrettable that we fell short, Further, I am not willing to accept your unfair remarks that “food suffered terribly in quality” as Paras Mahal is certainly not at that standard. There were 50 other rooms occupied during the dates you stayed with us and I have read all their comment forms where we have been graded Very Good or good. It was the same food served to them and the same staff looking after them, as was for you. I do wonder how we could go so wrong just with you.
Constructive feed back from guests is always highly appreciated and we are the first ones to apologize and take corrective action immediately if things go wrong occasionally.
I will not make any excuses for not meeting your expectations, the team, which was there, did their very best but obviously could not cope up with the near full house we are running for the last weeks.

I once again regret that your stay was not what you expected of it and will certainly improve on the issues mentioned by you.

Happy Travels

After a terrible experience at Rajputana Just a Resort, we were transferred to Paras Mahal. The staff was courteous and rooms were spacious and clean. Room service was prompt, billing was quick & easy.

We could relax, visit places near by and felt really happy staying here.

On our recent trip to Udaipur, my wife and I had spent five days at Paras Mahal. As our accommodation was booked in advance by the local contact, our check in was handled smoothly by the hotel reception. While exploring the possibility for a superior room, the reception staff politely informed that the hotel had uniform tariff structure as all the rooms were similar – this was an interesting feature!

I had talked to them from New Delhi prior to our arrival requesting them to book a car for our proposed trip to Chittor the next day; this was also confirmed by them while checking in. The hotel had a printed rate-list for different cars for sightseeing trips in & around Udaipur; the prices quoted for AC cars were quite reasonable.

Paras Mahal facing a hillock is well located on the main road (NH-8) at Hiran Magri, Udaipur. Due to absence of any other tall buildings around, the hotel with an impressive façade enjoys good perspective view. The reception area was small but quite functional. Single row of rooms was arranged around a central court thus avoiding dark corridors. The glass capsule lifts heaved us to the second floor, where we were allotted our room. The room was quite spacious (20'x15') and with a large king size bed, writing desk and a small sitting area had an ample circulation space. Interiors of the room were done up smartly with top order upholstery, drapery and linens. The bed merits special mention for its lavish spring and foam mattresses. Marble flooring in the room added to its cleanliness doing away with the smelly carpets so common in most hotel rooms. The toilet was nice too with good quality sanitary fittings and fixtures. The air-conditioning functioned pretty well prompting us to tone down its effect often.

The breakfast spread in the restaurant, christened as Deepawali, was elaborate offering choices in Western, North & South Indian cuisines. The porridge, baked beans, toasted breads and eggs on order were a regular feature. Choice of Indian preparations such as puris, paranthas, idlis, dosas, utthapam, poha etc. appeared on various days. Canned fruit juice, freshly cut fruits, milk and yoghurt complemented the menu.

On our last day, the hotel had booked a car for our trip to Haldighati, Nathdwara and Eklingeshwar temple. On the overall, our stay at Paras Mahal was comfortable and with a tariff of Rs.2500/- + taxes (including breakfast), it was affordable too!
