“Great architecture”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

Although it is away from the main sightseeing area, one must make a trip for a while to experience the architectural grandeur of this place. Huge structures built in the memory of fallen Kings has a cryptic yet beautiful feeling. Theres no entry and no charge for cameras over here so dont be fooled into believing otherwise. The rickshaw drivers insist on paying some "bakshish" to the security although I really dont think its of any use/ requirement.

“Just once”
Reviewed 27 March 2014

Its just cenotaphs of Royal families.
You will sure impressed by one look of it
But its not to explore more in that place.
It takes hardly 15 minutes to see all.

Do not go there in Evening or in night.
Best to visit in morning

“Something out of Indiana Jones.”
Reviewed 5 January 2014

This place really does look like an Indiana Jones set. It's full of domed monuments to members of the royal family and makes an impressive sight, but as others have said, a bit more information would be appreciated.

Bear in mind, this looks like an ideal spot for a bit of secret drinking and smoking, so I would only recommend going in the day. Also, we were asked to leave by a guard with a lathi (big stick) who also charged us money for having cameras (the lack of receipt means I suspect it won't go into the upkeep of the cenotaphs). I'm not sure why we were escorted out, there were other people around but we were the only non-Indians.

“Not your average tourist spot”
Reviewed 24 December 2013

The place luckily is free for entrance and to experience without the constant bombarding of a tour guide or beggars or touts as the place is less visited by the tourists due to the fact that it is a bit out of the path or that it is very conveniently avoided by the guide books for the much popular palaces of Udaipur. I for one was highly anticipated to visit the place since one of my friends who had visited the place had high praises for the beauty but the one thing he missed on was how the place lacks information and without a proper guide, the place is a bunch of ruins and cenotaphs on display. It is better to have someone with you who could actually guide you and tell the stories that accompany to a place like this or the least you could do is read up a bit on the place. The place is actually a collection of cenotaphs of the royal families and that is why it is sad how none of them have information on them but nevertheless the place is beautiful and a good spot in Udaipur to watch the beauty and relax a bit .

Reviewed 20 December 2013 via mobile

This is basically a cremation ground which is now allowed for other state visitors. Not prefered for visiting in evening and night .
