Definitely recommended for travellers. Very positive experience:
1. Arrived early in the morning via overnight train. Pre-arranged transportation was on-site, on-time.
2. We were at least 3 hours early for check-in. Even then, staff offered us the option to stay next door in their lounge/waiting room. As we were only staying for one night, they also allowed us to take our free breakfast credit the same morning to help pass time while the rooms were being prepared. Still managed to check us in early, and also provided a map with rankings for each of the Udaipur's attractions.
3. Wifi is solid throughout the building. Rooms are VERY clean and spacious. Great view from the rooftop restaurant. "Namaste breakfast" from the rooftop restaurant is included. No complaints on food.
The ONLY issue - the hot water in our room (#33). To turn on the hot water, you throw the switch in the washroom, which should light up. Wait 10-15 min, and hot water comes on. Only problem? The switch in Room 33 is reversed, and doesn't light up. I gathered that "off" means "on". We couldn't quite figure it out, and neither could the staff that was sent upstairs to troubleshoot. The result was a cold shower (lukewarm for first 2 minutes). I really hope they fix this, as the Jaiwana Hotel is otherwise PERFECTMore
