This Haveli has a good lake side location, with a small rooftop restaurant. The floors throughout are all marble and the property is very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
On the negative side, the rooms are sparsely furnished, the bathroom is a wet room, the beds are hard (but most are in India), toiletries are limited (bring your own shower gel) towels are a bit thread bare and the streets can be very noisy at night.
Sounds like a lot of complaints, but they are not. I found this to be a very well run and clean guest house and excellent value for money. The ratings for this property are excellent just don't be expecting a four star hotel.
I would stay here again and happily recommend it to others as a great, budget hotel.

Place is lovely to stay and very conveniantly located most of the tourist spots are in walking distance
Food is really gooood staff is helpful but littleslow in service but Harsh and Yash bring more joy by sometimes personally attending the guest and give their advice about food and travel tour also ithink Yash and Harsh are the soul of the hotel the only let was not the availability of lift as it will be more comfortable for kids and senior citizens but i would add one thing the last room u gave me the beds were little' uncomfortable for my back

We loved this little hotel! I had a single room, which was pretty spartan, but the window view of the lake made up for that. The brothers who run the place are fun and helpful and full of tips on what to enjoy and what to avoid. The rooftop restaurant overlooks the lake, and though some of the food is average, the Indian dishes and the breakfasts were yummy. The servers were so sweet and attentive and the setting is just so perfect that we had to eat there each night!

There's no lift, so it may be tedious for those who have difficulty climbing stairs. I love that each room has its own hot water heater. Eco friendly! I was also impressed by the efforts of the staff to request that guests keep the noise levels down so as not to disturb others. We were once asked to move from the lobby to the TV room, and then to not scrape our chairs on the floor (in the restaurant) because it was late, and there were guest-rooms below us. As a light sleeper, I really appreciated this detail.

It was a great stay, and I hope to visit again!

Great location, excellent staff, one of the best restaurants we ate at. Room was small and simple but everything we needed, including clean. Ask for anything and Harsh (or someone else) will help you out. All for a very reasonable rate.

We stayed at this property last Sunday to Tuesday morning. We decided to stay here because of the online reviews.

Located in old city, this property is within walking distance of great sites. The food is great and two brothers who rub this are friendly and helpful. The best value for the money.

For senior citizens like us, there are no elevators, you may have to climb up if the room is on 2nd and 3rd floor. Stairs are made of marble and a fall would likely break a bone, even the railings are made of marble.I would suggest senior avoid the upper floors.

we found a complete chaos and lack of communication on Holi, which was Monday. we have stayed all over the world, and this happens to be the first property that closed its services from 11 AM till 6 PM. No one answered the phone on front desk and the kitchen was closed for lunch without any notice. This was weird. When I came down from 3rd floor to check what was going on, the management was BUSY chatting with OTHER guests out side the building.no one cared to man the reception desk.

Dear Guests,
Thanks for reviewing us. We are glad you found us a good value for money and enjoyed the food at our roof-top. We are a little appalled at your comment 'complete chaos' on Holi. To the best of our knowledge your room was served well on the day and you enjoyed the drinks and complimentary sweets served in your room. You were politely greeted and assisted even though you sounded unpleasant and out of context on both occasions when you made your way to the reception. During breakfast all Guests were informed that restaurant would be closed for lunch as 'Holi' celebrations go on during the day. It's a little surprising that you being a senior citizen and an Indian undermined the importance of the festival and found the auspicious day for loose rude remarks. Serving you would have been more of a pleasure had you shown a little more sense of gratitude in person. We wish you a colorful Year ahead!

My wife and I stayed in the property through the last week of Dec 2013. For starters, this family run hotel is located close to the City Palace, Jagdish Mandir and many other tourist places.

We arrived by flight from Mumbai .Our friendly taxi driver (arranged by the hotel) navigated through the narrow alleys of the Old city and dropped us in a little less than 45 mins. The perfect holiday hotel experience started there. Harsh (the owner) took some time to take us through each and every bit of detail about Udaipur and gave us free maps and very useful advice. We spent three nights here and I mist say this is THE best heritage hotel I have been too. Here are the pluses :

a. Proximity to the tourist areas
b. Extremely comfortable stay - basic , bare minimal and essential decor
c. Economical compared to some pricey ones around
d. The FOOD !!! - Don't miss the Poha , paranthas and Bhindi , they are to die for!
e. Extremely friendly and smiling hotel staff (special mention of Harsh the owner)
f. Superlative views from the terrace

Please make sure you have your expectations right before booking this hotel.

a. This is not a fancy star hotel, but more of a cozy family run heritage hotel where the warmth from the hotel staff is evident

b. Do not expect elevators to your doorstep. You will have to walk up to your room in the three floors

The hotel also has wifi , sports / tv room .

If you are travelling to Udaipur , don't even think about booking any other hotel This is it. We'll be back for more very soon!

Room Tip: Choose the ones on higher floors for a better view of the lake
