We stay one night with my family on 14.02.2013.
Nice location with budget..
Nice restaurant with best view, quality of food .

Nice staff.

Suggestion-
1.Need improvement for cleanness.
2.The staircase height is litterer high.
3.Veg and non veg breakfast must kept separate .
4.The quantity of veg pulao is not sufficient so change the bawl .
5.The restaurant garden grass need maintenance and change

We had a great time at the hotel - the location was awesome and so was the garden restaurant. We were fortunate enough to get a room facing the lake, equipped with a private balcony. The service is good and so was the food. The cost though is slightly on the higher side. I would most certainly recommend this hotel to fellow tourists

I just wanted to share an experience of the hotel as a warning - and this is not against the management but something that they should be aware of.

During a recent stay we were approached by a member of the cleaning staff who was effectively begging within the hotel. She pointed at her shoes and proceeded to make comments and gestures in order to gain sympathy and in turn money.

I know that India is a country of extremes but one does not expect this within the confines of their hotel and this is something the management need to be aware of and address.

Otherwise the hotel was adequate for pupose.

Dear Guest, Thank you for bringing the issue to our notice. We have had a meeting with the team and identified the lady and she has been asked to leave work. We had provided employment to 3 ladies from the neighborhood so that they could earn their livelihood but incidents like these cannot be tolerated. We thank you again for raising this issue and apologize for the inconvenience.

We enjoyed every bit of our stay, nice spacious rooms, clean bathrooms, open terrace with a beautiful view to lake, good food preperation. Breakfast buffet selection from traditional Indian to English breakfast choices with good services. The restarurant is located just accross the hotel with beautiful scenic garden sitting by the lake. The Staff was very helpful, we got a very good welcome, room services, specialy Sameer was very helpful during our stay. It is very well located, all tourist sites are easily approachable. The hotel gives a very cozy homely and relaxing feeling.

Only thing we were dissappointed about was the hotel spa, which was not well maintained and lacked trained therapists. But there are nice spa's located just next to the hotel.

Needless to say, i am superhappy with the services provided by the hotel... The view from the rooms is amazing... A candle lit dinner is highly recommended at raaj bagh... Amazing food, amazing view and value for money!!
The brkfast served at the hotel was very nice and the best thng about my stay was the comfort provided by the staff... I had a small baby along and had to request the kitchen staff for smthng or the other for two days.. The staff was very cooperative... The only drawback was that if you hv to tk a city tour most of the places are near lake pichola... Which is a very crowded place... So if u r looking for sm tranquility and want to stat away from the busy street this property is highly recommended!!!

We were welcomed with a stale smile, infact just a glimpse of a smile and that was all. I don't know if their staff had some issues or it is just the way they are. They were not rude but they missed that happy-to-serve-you kind of sparkle. We asked them for a little guidance about the city and they didn't happen to know much.
Another thing was the bed they offered us. Okay it was a heritage hotel and they had that traditional bed but the noise it made, oh god ,a simple sit down was accompanied with lots of squeeks and creeks; talk about antique pieces!!
Other things like the rooms, food and location is good. But they seriously need to do something about the attitude of their staff. Some of them were even eager to argue over petty things. Moreover their 'Thank You' at the time of check-out was even less audible than their welcome or may be they didn;t bother to thank their guests. otherwise it is a good property with a complete traditional ambience and stunning views of the FatehSagar Lake. But I think hopitality is the first thing we notice in this 'hospitality business'.

Room Tip: The rooms with a view of the lake

It is a very good budget hotel in the city. We booked this hotel in May2012 for one night for our honeymoon. Lovely hotel with very clean structure & cleaner room and bathroom. Some rooms have their own private little balcony and an attached Its a heritage kind of hotel so it can give you the feel of being in a king's palace. Unforgettable view from the roof and from it's own restaurant which is situated in front of the hotel. They have good greenery and good setup for family dinner/lunches as well.
There are some vintage collection as well which is an addition to your unforgettable experience.
Ideal for any honeymooner and for foreigners who wish to experience heritage with Fateh sagar lake view.
It is situated very near to the city and having good access to all nearby places. Fatehsagar lake is just in front of it which is the main attraction of Udaipur city. I can never ever forget the hotel and it's amazing view.
