You can only expect a room for stay in old city with some olden style furniture and paintings - some compromise to be made with linen and bed sheets - Roof top view is good - No service - Somehow meeting the requirement of minimal service.

Upon our drop off from airport we had to drag our luggages for abt 10mins walk to anjani. The road its too small for big vehicle. "Tut-tut is accessible". Haveli is situated at the main rd but u need to hike up to gt there. Trust me, u wil nt be disappointed once u step foot in anjani. Conforting decor. A warm welcome from Ajai at the reception. We booked for 2rooms. We were lucky to get a room at 3rd floor with a balcony. And chairs fr us to have a smoke. Our rooms have got a good view too!
Then we were taken up fr a tour at the rooftop. Thr is a restaurant ontop tht gives us good indian "chai". And amazing view of lake pichola and surrounding.
Ajai was vey helpful for us. He gave us suggestions hw to start exploring Udaipur and hw to get thr. He also helped us to arrange fr transport. We hd good deals for local products such as paintings, marble carvings etc from the local village. Whn u are a foreign traveller the least thing u want is to get cheated..
Customer services were great. But there was a disappointment. The water heater. Although we have left it more than 30 minutes the indicator light wasnt lit. Few times we hd to bath in cold water. But I must say, our needs were attended promptly although we hd to keep calling the desk. Secondly, the speed of fan in our room on top of our bed cannot be adjusted. Little annoying at times.
Overall we hd really good experience with our stay. The haveli style room was comfortable to begin with, our needs were attended promptly with patience. As a picky traveller myself I valued customer service most. Highly recommended for budget travellers like me.

Anjani hotel location wise is not bad, and even from a room decor perspective, it is good. But the problem starts with the staff attitude, food quality and other amenities. I am currently staying in anjani hotel and will be checking out tomorrow, there is no power, and i have been informed that there is no power backup system available. So, these things are serious flaws and I would suggest you to do a proper research before booking this hotel.
