“Perfect location, nice room too!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 October 2010

Udaipur itself is fantastic and shone in all it's watery glory when we were there and Anjani was a perfect place to stay.
The room was great, clean and comfortable and a cool little window seat with a cushioned area for watching the sun set!
Staff were helpful, especially so for letting us in at 4 in the morning from our transfer and giving us a room to crash in before checking-in in the morning.
The roof terrace is fantastic, one of the highest, and although we didn't eat there as the prices were a bit high (and the food elsewhere was fantastic) we would definitely recommend this as a great place for a few nights.

The Hotel is just WOW. Staying in this hotel gives such a ROYAL feeling, as if we are the descendants Rajput Kings of Udaipur. The Hotel is a value for money and very professional too. They have some of the wonderful rooms, more of suites, a sitting space, grand royal beds, a small place to sit and have morning tea and a decent bathroom. Full marks

Checked in after an overnight train ride from Jaipur, need a shower but there was no water in the faucet or the sink. Called for tea, which did not arrive for an hour, contacted room service and was told they were out of milk! Went up to the restaurant which also doubles as staff quarters for breakfast. The tables were dirty with crusted sauce from previous dinners stuck to the table and the napkin holder with dirty napkins still in it!

The elevators did not have working fans or lights and was scary to ride it after dark asked he manager why it was not fixed and was told that the wire had come loose and there was nothing he could do about it!

When I booked the hotel on line after seeing the reviews here I booked with my credit card and expected to settle my bill with the same on check out. Well be aware, they only accept credit cards while booking, they will demand cash on check out. When I asked them why I was not informed of this policy on check in, I was told that the ATM was close by and they did not see what the big deal was!

I changed hotels the next day and moved into the Garden Hotel. It was $50 per day more but was worth every penny. If you want to pay good money for bad service, dirty premises, no running water and strictly cash transactions this is the place for you.

I spent 3 relaxing nights in Anjiani hotel. Decoration and instalations made you feel confortable. However the most important value of it is the people. The whole staff is ready to satisface all you can need always with a smail and the better disposition.
I congratulate its director and staff specially Jagdish for the spetial attention that offer us and his great kidness and charisma.

We arrived later tahn planned, but our rooms were ready. Location of the hotel is exteremely favorable for those who want to explore Udaipur, and the view from the roof-top restaurant is amazing. Though it was pretty cold in the room, and we could not figure out how the shower worked

I had booked this hotel for one of my friends, who came to visit me in India and traveled to Udaipur alone because I was busy with work. She arrived in India only a few days before she went to Udaipur, it was her first time in India and the first time she ever traveled alone.
The people from Anjani Hotel have taken great care of her and were very helpful with arranging everything from airport pick up, till tour guide and finally a ticket and drop off at the bus to Jodhpur. All this without charging insane rates on an unexperienced traveler like her.
The rooms looked cosy, the staff was nice and very helpful and the rooftop terrace was awesome.
Thank you Anjani Hotel for the great service!

This hotel was selected by us on the back of previous reviews. It was awful. the pool wasn't being filtered, it aws stagnant for all intents and purposes,
but was available to the 'brave' or foolhardy. The rooms had giant padlocks on the doors not conventional key locks. There were inumerable eletric cables and flexes exposed. The air. con. flooded onto the tv inthe room. The bath was acryllic and the srface was pittedand torn and dirt engrained. The restaurant was dusty and dirty
as well as being fly/insect infested. The sugar bowl/container had dead flies in it...not as a result of some campaign to kill them, more death by over-eating. I sat on a straw chair on the rooftop restaurant for breakfast and one of the colony of large stinging insects nesting within immediately stung me! The other cloth covered chairs were dusty and dirty, the tablecloths were mucky and stained. The lift had all its working parts visibly exposed and was very industrial in appearance.
The plus points were that it was cheap.
