Hotel was clean, staff were helpful, and location was ideal! Udaipur was a fabulous place and the hotel made it all that much more perfect. Traveled with Bohemian Tours and would definitely return to this city and the hotel.

After 4 days of staying, One day before leaving we got back at night, while sitting in the lobby chacking emails (wi fi only there) we were ״invited to go to manneger counter, (night time yes?) who explained us that there was an over booking on our room and asked us if we could switch room. we kindly explained that this request cause us sever inconvenience since we are leaving late at night day after and we already had other plans for our last day but packing-unpacking-packing again...unfortunatly he wouldnt take "no"for an answer and became angry for us rejecting his offer..
After we explained him that it makes us feel uncomfort- him shouting at us for his ovetboking instead of at least doing it kindly he offered us 3.5$ rps fiscount for that day if we move.., and after got mad and said we are griddy for not taking his "generous" 3.5$ offer..(
and we had 2 rooms,5 days, ate every day in the restaurunt and baught in the expansive shop we spent there much more 20k rupees)

He was unpleasent, kept us up till late at night

We discovered this haveli through Trip Advisor and feel very lucky to have spent three nights here. Extremely clean and well kept with top class staff who ensure everything goes well. Airport taxis were organised efficiently and the team was always ready to give advice without being pushy. We had the first floor street view room first night, which was noisy, but despite the hotel being fully booked, the staff managed to change us to 101 for the next nights; very calm and luminous with view over the lake. Obviously the higher you are the better the view, but we loved our room for the peace and comfortable beds. The adjoining bookshop run by one of the brothers is a bonus. Centrally located by foot to all the tourist sights. The top floor restaurant is run by very efficient and friendly staff and the food is of top quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts every day. The views are of the best in Udaipur. We will certainly return and have noted adress and room number!

Room Tip: avoid the street view room on first floor. All others are perfect.

Asha was really sweet and a great cook and teacher! A nice, alternative Indian experience, especially when you are a couple. Fun and definitely something you can bring back home. AND you get to eat what you cooked in the restaurant for no additional price. Good value.

Nice Hotel....with Lake View Room as well as standard room....Lake view are bit bigger as compared to standard room with resonable price diffrence....Overall a nice hotel with terrace resturant with not so good breakfast options...but awsome masala tea....always order a large tea pot if you are in a group of four. Rooms were neat and clean....though a bit small but then...nothing to pissed off if you are on tight or reasonable budget. Lunch and Dinner at the terrace restro of the hotel was good....nice budget hotel as compared to other options nearby.....

Room Tip: Choose a lake view room..though costs bit more but is slightly bigger and you get a nice little lake...

When in Udaipur, it is advisable to pick a place close to Lake Pichola. This is because, Lake Pichola is the most atmospheric locality in Udaipur. Also, all attractions are right around this place. Based on these considerations, I chose Mewar Haveli for stay with my wife in Udaipur.

This hotel was a surprise package in our whole tour. It is a small, but clean hotel very close to Lake Pichola. The roof-top restaurant offers some nice views over the lake.

We had some yummy breakfast as we came early to the hotel. The checkin was at 10am. But, we had a good time enjoying the views from the restaurant till our room was available.

Mr.Harish, the owner of the place is a friendly and hospitable person. He gave us directions for the local attractions and arranged for sight seeing too. We felt warm and welcome due to his commitment in keeping the guests happy.

There is a lift to go up - and this was particularly useful as the rooftop restaurant was on the 4th floor. I had booked a deluxe room which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and adequate. There was a small tv in the room which was suriprising considering that other places around this hotel do not have a tv in the room.

The restaurant keeper had to be told every time to get water and to add the bill to our room. This was a bit annoying. I guess keeping a tab on the guests' bills is the only area in which the hotel should improve.

The city palace, the boat ride, Bagore Haveli, the Jaganath temple are all withing a stone-throw distance away. Add to it the pleasant hotel and the helpful staff - I felt this hotel was value-for-money in all aspects.

Brilliant and place to stay in Udaipur on Lake Pichola. It gives a fantastic location of the lake and the whole of Udaipur can be seen.
The hotel has a glorious Open Restaurant.
In evening when The Taj Palace gets lighted all over the lake there are strings of lights beneath the Aravalli it looks as if a dream.
Add with it the cold the smell of the river and a great food that the Hotels are ready to give.

Room Tip: Royal Deluxe Room
