“Part of the Kesari tour for Rajasthan. Beautiful and breath taking”
Reviewed 18 March 2013

This hotel is like a place and it has the most beautiful locale. The sunset and the sunrise is something not to be missed. rooms are spacious, services impeccable. Food is also good. The lawns are huge and the roses are beautiful. The swimming pool is large and inviting. Though its a remote location, I think its well worth the money. Feel like royalty when staying here.

Positives:
1) Offers stunning views of the hills from the rooms and from virtually everywhere in the resort.
2) Has a nice little cage which has rabbits, ducks and love birds. My daughter loved it!
3) Nice walkways inside the resort, nice playground/lawns right at the centre.

Negatives:
1) Location is remote. So not so easy to travel to and fro the city centre where most of the Udaipur attractions are there.
2) If only the interiors of the rooms were as grand as the exteriors..
3) Food is costly and worse you don't have choice as there is no other option in that area...problem linked to remote location.

Room Tip: Always helps to ask the reception during check-in to offer a room with good view.

The rooms need upgrading. There was a portable electric heater that was noisy. The toilet was cold and we had to have the heater plugged inside to warm the toilet in the morning. Guards talk to each other in the middle of the night.
The view is excellent, and the whole complex is beautiful to photograph. Staff is eager to please and obliged a packed breakfast to go. Food service in the restaurant is slow and you'll be safe with Indian food which they do best.

Room Tip: Rooms face the square. They use the square for private functions. They finish at 11pm.so no early nigh...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in December. From the outside it looks lovely, however the rooms are very dated and cold. I wore several layers to bed. The tv was very old and the fridge was not turned on. The breakfast was ok the staff were very attentive, however the dinner was not very good, we didn't eat on the second night! The resturant was like a school hall. The whole place needs updating.

The Udai Bagh and Udai Bagh are 2 different properties. So ensure which u want to go to before booking. We visited The Udai Bagh and were very happy with the property, Surrounded by hills, away from the hustle of the city it makes u feel u r in a different place. The way it is maintained is worth the appreciation. The rooms are spacious. Overall a thumbs up for the property! The staff is courteous, the food is good.
The things that can be improved upon could be more recreation options(although they have pool table, T.T and carrom right now). You can hear the noise of train at regular intervals, since there is a crossing nearby. The road from Debari Cross Roads to the hotel is bad, if that can be improved.
Overall, would definitely recommend to people who r looking for leisure and quality time at a good classy place.

We went there on the 30 th dec'12 to 1 st jan'13. To celebreate our new year basically.
First the location is an absolute delight. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city surrounded by mountains. The rooms, ambience, gardens, pool, everything is fantastic.
Service is awesome.
The only let down was the food. Although the food that they arranged for the gala dinner on 31st was awesome.
The arrangement for 31 st night gala was also very good and lived up to the expectations.
Would recommend it surely.
Classic! Overall.
