the best thing about this resort is the scenic beauty it provides.
the resort is at a view point called lambs rock and you will be covered in the clouds all the time and it feels like heaven.
the place is also surrounded by beautiful tea gardens.
hospitality is very good.
the owner Charles is extremely helpful.
staff is very polite and helpful too.
rooms are big and comfortable.
food was good and the local delicacies made it more enjoyable.
resort arranged for a comfortable and chargeable sightseeing facility for us.

Beautiful place to stay. Resort is in between tea plantation and just 5 min walk to Lamb's rock view point. We stayed there for 2 days and the stay was peaceful. The place will be covered with mist after 10 in the morning and it feels like heaven. The rooms are big and clean. Food is nice. But most importantly the hospitality shown by the staff is impressive. The owner Charles is a true gentleman.
The nights will be cold. The night view from the resort is beautiful. All in all one of the best places to relax and refreah in south India.

If you are looking at an eco-stay , close to Nature , with welcoming hosts - This is it ! Stop by right here at De-Rock. We were well looked after by Charles , who wholeheartedly administrates the property , and the two helpful assistants - Raja and Babu. Even though the guest load increases during weekends , they have given their best efforts to make most of the expectations a possibility ! This is so much appreciable , because given the natural isolation of the jungle resort , you will still enjoy the exotic culture. From the Live food counter to the Mist-in-the-woods ambiance , you had enjoy all of it. Babu makes delicious Corn Kasturi and Pepper Chicken ! They also have a facility of a bonfire in the yard , given a decent strength of crowd. The location is charismatic and brings along a sense of freshness with lush green tea-estates all around ! Last but not the least , Charles himself has been a great guidance in informing the guests of adventurous places to visit and sights to see. ( You may not even find these on Google ! ) He is a well-informed local resident , and is your go-to person for all your queries about exploring Coonoor !
I highly recommend this place as stay-worthy.

A totally Run down property, No Manager in site & no dedicated cook. Zero cleanliness & most unhygienic room, bathroom, beds. A holiday wasted for no fault of ours. I would suggest people not to get carried away by the pictures posted on the website as the property is in shackles. There were other families who waited for the dawn & scooted away from the place without even having complimentary breakfast. Please do not suggest or over rate this property & misguide travellers.

Best place to be in while in coonoor.
Affordable place. Location is the best part. Just near to lamb's rock view point.lambs rock is just 2 min walk. The cottages are having tea garden lawn view and rainforest at the backside.
There is a little stream near by . You can walk there just 100mtrs away. Check my pics. Rainforest view room is the best view.
Restaurant is not that great. Food options are less.
The caretaker Mr Charles is a gentleman and very helping indeed.
The road to the resort is isolated and thrilling .
Overall nice stay though the room service needs to be improved a bit.
