This hotel is located near to madurai meenakshi temple and also very near to madurai railway station.The rooms are great.I have booked a royal suite room.The room cost is lesser for a very good ambience and quatity.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 days. Classic type rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was very tasty with a lot of items to choose from.
The hotel has a roof top restaurant at 7th floor. It has a nice view of the city and good food.
Travel arranged by the hotel is very expensive. So go for a call taxi rather than arranging travel through hotel travel desk.
I stayed there with family in MArch 2014 for a night. booked it via mmt site. hotel is at a nice location. you can go to temple from there by 10-15 mins walking. rooms are good and it is certainly a value for money hotel in upper middle budget. Their complementary breakfast is also good.
I will certainly recommend for everyone to stay there. this hotel is generally alway occupied with foreign visitors and indian visitors due to benefit of its location, so book it in advance.
Very good hotel. Hotel is old but room was very clean, nice and renovated. Will stay for next visit in Madurai. Convenient location and good service. WI FI access in the room. Will recommend this hotel.

Restaurant service is very bad n no hospitality towards guest. Reception personnel having lack of communication skill n short of information reg city. Food taste is average. But location of restaurant on roof is very excellent but taste of food n waiters service is terrible. ..
Didn't stay in this hotel, but ate as part of a group in the rooftop restaurant. Nice view over the city but, as the full moon rose in the sky, it became apparent just how polluted the air in Madurai is. Unfortunately, outside of festivals, only the central pillar of the Sri Meenakshi Temple is lit up at night. A good selection and standard of food here (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) and excellent & efficient service. Beer expensive (R300).
