“Decent accomodation with friendly and helpful staff, fast wifi”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2013

For the money you pay you get more than adequate service, fast wifi and hot water (which is not always the case for this price range). Staff was very attentive and proffesional. Beware that the hotel is located by a busy road and close to a railway station, so noise could be an issue to some.

I stayed here only 1 night, fortunately. The room is very old and not sure clean or not; and the toilet and shower not working properly, no hot water. The location is good because it's pretty near the train station, but the surround area is messy because it is a market, streets are very small and crowded. The price is high comparing to what I got served. One bad incident is that one staff showed me the public toilet on the first floor of the hotel, I entered and locked the door from inside. Suddenly i felt like he was trying to enter the toilet. I shouted out loud and locked the door more carefully. After that, he locked me inside that toilet and left. Fortunately I had my phone with connection, I called my friend coming up from the lobby to open the door from outside for me.

We stayed for one night. Booked a non ac room via online booking, booking was easy. But when we reached we found that rooms are at roof top and the Floor steps are very high. We converted it to a AC room with extra pay. Again the room is very bad and too small, the worst of our trip ... There was floor mat in the room, we have asked for mat in the morning and get it at night after two knocks to room service. The bed is like a brick with grooves .. and it was making different sounds when simply sitting on bed. Bathroom was too small and has only cover in road side wall of the bathroom, this wall is covered with a very thin curtain of cloth. And even while bathing the water in coming to bed room through the closed door of the bathroom. We reached in the hotel at 8.45 am and on the next morning at 8 am I paid extra amount for the AC room and surprisingly soon after payment our AC was stopped and when called to room the answer was we have checked out. But I found that our MCB outside our room was down for the AC, this is really very very bad and poor mentality ... I will not recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Floor steps are very high, never take road side rooms and rooms in 2nd floor.

We stayed in Ajay hotel for one night. We were welcomed nicely and did early check in before check in time. We read some reviews on TA before we finally decided to book this hotel online. Online booking was easy, hotel staff answered every question nicely.
Hotel location is in the middle of traditional market near railway station, the activity of the market will start around 10 to 11am in the morning up until around 11pm at night. We requested to have a room far from the street to avoid the noise, the hotel staff was ready with the room we were requested at the time we came for check in. Excellent.

We stayed at room 106, it was clean, and large enough for 2 persons, and good enough for a budget hotel even though we could probably get better room in different city in India with the same price.
Wifi did not work very well in the room, we had to go to dining area at the rooftop to get faster connection.

The hotel location is very close to the railway station, about 10-15 minutes walking, only that we had to ask many people on the street/market to get the right direction.
If we took auto rickshaw, the charge around 60 - 100 rupees.

It is a nice budget hotel. The rooms are amazingly neat and clean, also the toilet. We surprised for the cleanliness of room and toilet. The Owners Mr. Anil and Ajay Bhargav are wonderful persons. They are very much careful and helpful for their customers. Food and hotel's staff are also very good. So I highly recomend for this Hotel in Agra.

Room Tip: All Rooms are very much well maintained. We stayed at Room No. 106 (AC room), nice room.

Booked a room here for one night at a very good rate considering the room had excellent AC, excellent WiFi, and a flat screen TV. The hotel is right beside both the Agra fort and its train station in the historic market part of the city. This part of the city is tout free is only a 5min tuk tuk to the Taj, and a 10 minute walk to the fort. What really impressed me was the staff- they let me know they could arrange things for me but never hassled me. They also looked after my bag for the best part of the day. My room was not the quietest, but I did get a choice of a quieter room which I declined. All and all, a well run and straight up operation in an interesting part of Agra that most tourists miss. Thumbs up!
