We stayed at Amarvilas for 3 days - the huge spread of breakfast items and an interesting range of made to order dishes made our leisurely breakfasts turn into brunches. The staff here is brilliant and were constantly asking us if they could make anything special for us or our 2 year old. Chef Jaideep came & introduced himself on day one and offered to make us whatever we wanted. As soon as I said that it was Eid and I was craving for some biryani but it was not on the menu card, he jumped and offered to cook us a special meal comprising of sheekh kebabs, lamb biryani & sheer korma. The biryani was full of subtle flavours, the kebab was tender, juicy & sheer korma was to die for! We also ordered sandwiches, soups, kathi rolls, burgers etc for lunch over 3 days and I must say every item was delicious. Personally I prefer the food at Bellevue to the much hyped Indian restaurant Esphehan. A big thank you to Chef Jaideep & team for your special touch and for keeping our tummies full & happy.

A restaurant – ANY restaurant – located in the Oberoi Agra, should be beyond excellent.
This was not the case for us, unfortunately.
We were guests of the chef for dinner and we were hoping for a great experience.
However, while the service at the restaurant was superb (you simply have to admire the wacky local uniforms of the waiters) – the food was rather ordinary.
We went for mostly Western courses, with a couple of Indian recommendations.
I cannot put my finger on what was wrong with the food. I guess nothing was wrong, but there wasn't anything special, either.
We had about 7 courses in our dinner and the desserts were undoubtedly the best part of it.
After dinner, we had a nice stroll through the amazing Oberoi hotel.
While the restaurant recommends an elegant dress code, we did notice some patrons (probably hotel guests) who dined with shorts and their flip-flops.

Well if you are looking for a scrumptious brunch with great views (well not from the restaurant exactly) but from the hotel lobby, this is the place to go to. The food is a mix of continental and Indian fare that makes it a place for everyone, buffet spread is quite good and you will surely be spoilt for choice. Meal is priced at about Rs. 2200/USD 40 (inclusive of tax).
PS: Prior reservation is recommended.

While the Indian food is quite good, the crumb coated, deep-fried chicken sandwich with french fries was superb! It makes my mouth water just to think about it. Yes, it is really bad for you (cholesterol) but it is worth the risk one time for this tempting, tasty treat. Also, highly recommend the uttapam (rice pancakes with bits of onion and tomato on top) for brekki. Also very delicious. Service as you might expect was excellent.
