“Nothing special”
Reviewed 29 December 2013

Oberoi hotels are not known for having destination restaurants, and the otherwise fantastic Amarvillas is no exception. The Bellevue is the non-Indian eatery at the Oberoi Agra, and the only one to be open for breakfast and lunch. The dinner menu has about one page of Indian dishes, and two and a half pages of non-Indian ones, with an Italian leaning. The food is good, but decidedly far from being memorable. Portions tend to be small, so hearty appetites should go for a four-course meal! Guests staying a few days are stuck with the Bellevue and Esphahan (the Indian eatery), because what else is available in town may not provide a better dining experience anyway. Incidentally, the vue is belle during daytime only.

“Superb Hospitality”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

In my opinion, when it comes to Hospitality, no hotel can beat Oberoi's. The way they treat you is really overwhelming.

We had gone to Bellevue for our Second marriage Anniversary Dinner and it was amazing!! I absolutely loved their Tandoori Chicken in starters and Lamb and Lentils Pasta for dinner. Also, the complimentary bread basket was a nice touch.

The Hotel's Infrastructure and Decor is fabulous!! Loved it Overall...

“Bellevue restaurant- superb”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

This has to be one of, if not the best dinning experiences I have ever had. Bellevue is one of the two restaurants at the stunning Oberoi hotel in Agra, India. This hotel has fantastic views of the Taj Mahal so I suggest you get there before sunset and have a drink on the terrace overlooking the Taj.

Afterwards head down stairs to Bellevue. This is there international cuisine restaurant. The other restaurant is their Indian restaurant Esphanhan.

The executive chef, Jaydeep, was hospitable, accessible and provided the best suggestions. His signature prawn starter was to die for. Our daughter was not into spicy food so he created an amazing noodle dish to her specifications!

Pricing was expensive by Indian standards, but for Westerners it was cheaper than normal 5 star dinning at home (Australia).

This dining experience will be up there as a highlight of any trip!

“Lovely restaurant near the Taj Mahal”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

We were in Agra for a day and had a cold drink at the lobby lounge before we went to the Taj Mahal and decided afterwards to go back to have lunch at Bellevue. We were booked to have lunch in another hotel but we love the Oberoi Amarvilas Hotel so we csncelled our booking and went there instead. It was our wedding anniversary. It's a luxurious 5 star hotel، As you enter the main door to the lobby the view of the Taj Mahal is right through the beautiful windows that looks like a picture frame. The restaurant is located in the lower lobby , It has a view of the nice garden outside that leads to the outdoor swimming pool unfortunately without the view of the Taj Mahal. The waiters and waitresses are dressed in a smart attire reminiscent of the Mughal period ( I think) . They were very welcoming and attentive. We were the only customer at first and after a little while couples and families with young children also arrived that gave the restaurant a bit more atmosphere. We ordered a mix of Indian and International dishes , which was well presented , and tastes fresh and delicious. Food is excellent but nothing special. Price is the same as you pay in any 5 star hotel , and it's good that they match it with great service so we were happy . There is not much around Agra and I think this place is the best one around , so if you are used to dining in high end places with lovely surroundings this is the place to be .

“Good food & great service”
Reviewed 22 August 2013

We stayed at Amarvilas for 3 days - the huge spread of breakfast items and an interesting range of made to order dishes made our leisurely breakfasts turn into brunches. The staff here is brilliant and were constantly asking us if they could make anything special for us or our 2 year old. Chef Jaideep came & introduced himself on day one and offered to make us whatever we wanted. As soon as I said that it was Eid and I was craving for some biryani but it was not on the menu card, he jumped and offered to cook us a special meal comprising of sheekh kebabs, lamb biryani & sheer korma. The biryani was full of subtle flavours, the kebab was tender, juicy & sheer korma was to die for! We also ordered sandwiches, soups, kathi rolls, burgers etc for lunch over 3 days and I must say every item was delicious. Personally I prefer the food at Bellevue to the much hyped Indian restaurant Esphehan. A big thank you to Chef Jaideep & team for your special touch and for keeping our tummies full & happy.
