Stayed at this hotel in April.Nice location - not far from Taj Mahal (10 min walking distance). Clean room and bathroom. In our room there was no balcony, not sure if there are another rooms with balcony or not. Good service. Pool is not working and it is not as it on picture. That was not very good. As nobody at reception mentioned that pool cannot be used.

Go for this hotel, only if you want to get low service at relatively high cost. I opted for superior room considering that it has better facilities at higher price. However, it turned out to be a nightmare visit. The staff was having a roadside behavior. Room was not clean, maintenance was pathetic. I visited during X'Mas on 2012, the winter time. Arrangement for room heating or blanket was inadequate. Food quality was bad. You can make out from the body language of the reception staff that I was among the persons who overpaid them for the room. The room was selected by me after extensive research on web site. However, be rest assured that all the photographs on web are misleading and has been taken from such angle that it gives a gigantic look to ordinary place.
Only good thing was its proximity to Taj.

Room Tip: Avoid if possible.

Such a good location, can see the Taj Mahal from the roof and it is only 5 minutes to get there. We stayed just one night and wouldn't have wanted to stay any more. The staff were friendly and the food was good but the cleanliness was bad, the pool on the roof filthy and bathrooms were not up to scratch for the money we paid. Not worth it if your looking for something a bit more luxurious.

I had to drive around through some busy roads of Agra before reaching to this Hotel and stayed there as they provided a parking hotel premises. I would say its a clean and good budget hotel just to spend the night. Before leaving the manager actually helped us with a self drawn map to visit place in Agra. If you are looking for clean hotel room with a clean bathroom then this hotel is an excellent for your pocket.

It was a pretty average experience at Bhoomi residency. I booked club room from agoda but all the amenities mentioned were not similar to that I got. Room size was good and the food was also fine.
The staff apart from the Manager with the tie were fine.
Manager was seriously very much irritating from the way he was talking and didn't not like his behavior. I stayed there for two nights and after the first day when I asked them to change the bedsheet the house keeping just replaced the side of the bed sheet instead of getting a new one.
I will suggest you not to go to this hotel.
Room offered to me was near the house keeping room it kept on banging the whole day and night.
Air from the AC was coming directly on the face while sleeping. Its swing was even not working properly.
Add few more bucks go for a better hotel. Best about this hotel is location nothing else...

Room Tip: Please change your manager and don't offer anyone 101. The house keeping rooms makes a lot of no...

Bhoomi Residency – A Boutique Hotel

Date of stay – 26 February 2014

This hotel is only 10 mins from the Eastern Gate so just perfect if you want to walk to the Taj Mahal. The reception staff spoke good English and were very helpful when we discovered 2 of the guests had left their passports back in Delhi. We booked 3 superior rooms – 101, 102 and 103 – room 102 smelt of smoke and room 103 smelt of drains but keeping the door to the bathroom shut and the bathroom fan on helped. The rooms we clean and tidy with a fridge, kettle, soap and toilet paper provided. There was no kettle in room 103 and the kettle in room 102 was not working but these problems were quickly sorted. There was hot water. The TV worked and there was a good selection of English programs and lots of sport.

The hotel is very close to Urban Hatt which was hosting Taj Mahotsav, a 10 day festival to celebrate India’s rich arts, crafts, cultures, cuisine, dance and music so it was noisy until 10.45pm. If you are in Agra when the Taj Mahotsav is on, it’s worth a visit.

If you want to see the Taj at sunset from the other side of the Yamuna River, walk to the Eastern Gate and pick up a Tuk Tuk – after some serious negotiations the ride cost Rs200 for 4 people – it was hair raising but fun and the Tuk Tuk waited for us and took us back to the Eastern Gate.

Tip – if you are not happy with the price the Tuk Tuk driver is asking and your negotiations are not getting anywhere, insist on using the meter – the price will almost certainly come down or just walk away, there are always other Tut Tuks……..

We ate dinner in the hotel’s restaurant and the food was very good – Rs930 for 5 including 2 Lime Soda. Breakfast was included in the hotel deal and was excellent and included 2 cups of coffee or tea but if you wanted an extra coffee it was Rs42.

The hotel is only a short walk to the Taj Mahal ticket office – try and have the correct money as getting change is always an issue in India.

Tip - As a tourist in India acquiring small notes is difficult so if you get a Rs10, Rs20 note or Rs50, hang on to them to use for tips otherwise your smallest note is most likely to be Rs100 note which is a very generous tip and will add to the expense of your holiday. If you are making a purchase with a Rs500 or even a Rs100 note and the vendor says ‘no change’, just say ‘no change, no sale’ and the vendor will suddenly be able to change the Rs500 or Rs100.

This hotel is worth considering and I will use it again on my next visit to Agra.
