Comfy, welcoming and relaxing, this homestay offers respite from the run of the mill guesthouses in India, if you've been travelling a while! The room we stayed in was large and clean; the bathroom was lovely. Hot showers and wifi here too. The family who own the place couldn't do enough to help us and even dropped us off at the Taj Mahal very early in the morning. The price includes a tasty breakfast, too. The place is located in a quiet, green part of the city. If you are looking for a bit of comfort and want to stay somewhere with nice surroundings and to be taken care of, then this is an excellent place to stay.

The location of this home stay is exceptional. 1.5 kms from the Taj Mahal it is in the middle of the tranquil, quiet streets of the Agra green belt, built by the British for their army and politicans. Large stretches of quiet green parks and a golf club are broken up by large houses and the Heritage Homestay is in one. No sales people, no hawkers, no car horns, and no rubbish here. The rooms are very big comfortable with all mod cons. Venno’s food is exceptional and the dhals were masterpieces. The garden has resident peacocks, and paraquets plus kingfishers and hoopoes. Excellent trips can be arranged through reliable tuk tuk drivers and car drivers. Highly recommended. I really could have stayed a lot longer.

Title says it all but there is a 200 char minimum so I must embellish. This was a fantastic alternative to the boring hotel chains in the area and certainly to the one extremely expensive one. So we stayed here and had a meal or two at the Taj to also check out the grounds. In our view, if you're out all day exploring Agra, what's the point of paying $800 per night at the Taj, but that's just our view. So we had a bit of trepidation at first about staying in someone's home, but this family was warm without being intrusive. The room was perfect and with ensuite bathroom, and the location was pretty good. Meal time was HEAVEN. Mrs Singh (and her relatives) cook amazingly, and there was always plenty to go around. Mr Singh was extremely friendly, and their children were a delight. Not a setup for everyone, but if you prefer something more on the personal side, this might do it for you. Also excellent value.

This was our first stay in INDIA and we arrived after having no sleep for 24 hours. We were warmly welcomed by the family and shown to our spacious and clean room. Throughout our stay the family were so helpful (especially Gurmeets father) who advised us with places to see and visit. The home cooked food was delicious and we enjoyed sitting down with family members most nights and discussing our day. We also strongly recommend using the Auto rickshaw driver they provided us with, "Rama". We had a great experience with him, he was cheap and very knowledgeable of the area!
Although this home stay is out in a remote area, it was easy to walk to nearby shops and restaurants. If we ever return to Agra we will be sure to re-visit!!
