We stayed here one night on our group tour and had the most disappointing stay after having stayed at the sister hotel in Jaipur.....wow what a difference.
No welcome from any of the staff on arrival, rooms ok but luggage took over an hour to arrive into the rooms so couldn't shower etc after a hard long day and drive.
Bar service poor had to ask for service and constantly badger the staff who never smiled same in the restaurant even though our guide had booked our table of 13 in advance of arrival they had split the group up.
Would not recommend to anyone, when we were leaving they even sent a staff member out to our bus to approach one of the group member to ask him why he had rated the hotel poor in front of the rest of the group!!! The feedback forms are addressed to the chief exec not the reception staff!!
Hot food on the breakfaast buffet was cold due to no burners working under several of the dishes, Chef had to supply a box of pastries etc for us to take on the tour bus.

We drove from Gurgaon to Agra for a short ,1D/1N weekend break. One of the reasons to pick Agra as our destination was the expressway, as we were not in the mood to spend long hours on the road drive. While the drive till Agra was a smooth sail, the city was sure crowded and roads broken. Entry in to the hotel brought a smile back to our face. It's not a very big property, but beautifully spread around the pool area which is at the center of the hotel- which males it different. It took us hardly 5 minutes to check-in, we were offered a choice for the bed size. The room was not very big, but comfortable and plush with all amenities, and it overlooked the pool and surrounding area. Bed and pillows were very comfortable, and we had a sound sleep.
Our travel co-incided with the Full moon night, when the Taj Mahal opens for a special night view. Tickets for a full moon night have to be booked 24-hours in advance. Since we could not be there to purchase the ticket that soon, we had checked with the hotel concierge if they could buy the tickets for us. And they did (charged additional service fee, which is fine). We appreciated this service. The hotel is a mere 5 minute drive from Taj East gate, which was very convenient.
Rooms were clean, the hotel lobby area smelled nice in the evening from the incense sticks that were lighted on all corners. The pool area gives out a very relaxed and peaceful feel to the property. Food was good, we had buffet spread for Dinner as well as breakfast. The spread was good, food was mildly spiced not very hot or spicy. Maybe it was prepared keeping in mind the huge number of foreign tourists staying at the hotel. Staff was pleasant and very helpful.
We would like to thank all staff at the restaurant for their attentive service, and Shreya for serving our table, and being so nice. Also, would like to thank Yash at the front desk who was very helpful with directions and other tips.
Overall, a very comfortable and relaxed stay!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the pool view

Stopped here for a couple of nights and very much enjoyed it.

The breakfast was very good and the buffet dinner was also very enjoyable.

Friendly staff and good service means we would recommend this place.

The pool and area surrounding it was a big plus and we really enjoyed a chance to relax out there after had days sightseeing!

An oasis in Agra - very clean, extremely well-managed - the best, most thoughtful service we experienced. Food was terrific, head chef a real gem; the food from the kitchen garden was terrific and I encourage them to sell the murabba from the gooseberries as it was lovely! Rooms were a little dated, but the communal areas very tasteful and pool great for the kids.

This hotel checked us in in less than one minute, owing to an extraordinarily busy, late evening at the front desk. We have never before seen such efficiency! The dining room is outstanding, under the watchful eye of senior kitchen executive Ashutosh Awasthi, and a lovely young gal named Shreya offered to have the kitchen make a specialty of the region, off the morning buffet offering, for my foody husband. I was suffering from a sore throat on check-out day, and Shreya again came through with a special tea. We also used the hotel's laundry service, and we were delighted. The rooms at this Trident are just a wee bit tired cosmetically, but the beds and pillows were outstanding in comfort! This hotel is part of the Oberoi family, and it shows in the high level of service by everyone with whom we came into contact. A lovely find.
