It was not the first time and it will not be the last time I visited the Taj. It is impressive and you have to take your time and walk through the gardens adn enjoy the side buildings as well.

I have never seen anything that fascinating and gorgeous in my entire life.
Was totally worth to travel around the world to enjoy this view for just a couple of minutes...

RECOMMEND!

I recently took an excursion with my friends and visited the Taj Mahal, Agra. I would like to go back in memories to jot down few interesting and historical things about the Taj.

Starting with, In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While the white domed marble mausoleum is the most familiar component of the Taj Mahal, it is actually an integrated complex of structures. The construction began around 1632 and was completed around 1653, employing thousands of artisans and craftsmen.

I was completely impressed by the beauty of the Taj and I could recall the lines of Emperor Shah Jahan who himself described the Taj in these words:

Should guilty seek asylum here,
Like one pardoned, he becomes free from sin.
Should a sinner make his way to this mansion,
All his past sins are to be washed away.
The sight of this mansion creates sorrowing sighs;
And the sun and the moon shed tears from their eyes.
In this world this edifice has been made;
To display thereby the creator's glory.

Its a nice feeling to see that the beauty of the Taj is remains unchanged and its unrivaled craftsmanship is wonderful to watch even after so many years.

What a spectacular place; a must see in your lifetime. Really hot on the security though, we weren't even allowed to take in a small cuddly toy.

This you have to see if you travel to India.... What you see in pictures is nothing
when you actually see it... I could not leave the site for a long while....

Nothing much to see inside but outside it is breathtaking... it is really worth the travel from delhi
