Those poor elephants have to walk on pavement, saddled and in shelter. DO NOT TAKE THE ELEPHANT RIDES PLEASE.

The place is very well kept. Parking is good. Needs lots of walking, so beware. The room with glasses, supposed to be Mumtaz Mahal"s bathroom was all locked up and saw the guide getting the room opened in connivance with the guard for some extra cash...needs to be stopped. The light and sound show is really bad and fully avoidable. No special light effects, very dull.

Visited on our return from the Taj Mahal. It's another impressive building. We had a guide that was organised through our hotel which was really helpful as there is clearly a lot of history behind the buildings and yet not much explanation provided at the venue itself. Make sure you take your own water as it is very hot and nowhere to get any at the venue that I saw.

Vast area of palaces and other buildings. It has changed since I was there in 2006, especially the apt of the Maharashtra as now it closed off by wire mesh, where we walked all around before. Also the wild and naughty monkies were not around.

Not to be missed while in Agra, the history and beauty of the place are reasons to pay a visit. Recommend getting a guide to explain the details and take you to the specific places
