This place was so good we came here twice and got takeaway for the night train! A true family enterprise with delicious food (especially the tibetan bead with banana and honey) and friendly, welcoming people. I think the prices are worth it for the experience and change to regular Indian cuisine. A lovely odd mishmash of cultures, very refreshing.

Lovely little place which as others have said is a godsend if you're looking for a change from Indian food. The menu is good if a little random, the family who run the restaurant are very welcoming and friendly. It's prettily lit rooftop dining area helps you escape the noise of the city.

I liked the idea of this - a family run restaurant, and was greeted warmly upon our arrival. The family was pleasant and polite, however service was minimal as we had to write down our orders, and add any extra items at the end.
The food came in small portions and was considerably over priced- to the extent we decided not to tip.
The restaurant itself is sweet. I am genuinely disappointed that this turned out to be a tourist trap.

During our 6 week backpacking trip to india, our meal at el parador was the highlight of our trip. The food was delicious. It was nice to take a break from the standard indian cuisine. El Parador's international menu has something to please everyone. You can see right into the kitchen and watch the family come together to cook your meal! Every dish is prepared from scratch and it is obvious the family have a real passion for food! When the electricity went, the owners children fanned us down to keep us cool! The children offered us a unique insight into life in India, it's education system and politics. while the owner himself had many stories to tell us about life in India, it's people and it's history. It is a must when visiting Varanasi!

Firstly, this is in one corner of the town - unless someone takes you there, next to impossible to reach it. Rs. 700 for 2 plates of chicken momo is a king's ransom! I have never heard of anything more absurd. The momos were pretty average too - you'll get better momos anywhere at 25% of the price. The soup accompanying the momo was lousy to say the least. Menu was pretty strange - a mish mash of many cuisines. It appeared to me that the menu and the pricing has been created without much thought and only keeping foreign tourists in mind.
No wonder we were the only customers at the peak lunch hour of 1 PM on a Saturday!
