My wife and I stayed at the Radisson in Varanasi for 5 nights. We had originally planned to stay at another hotel with a view of the Ganges River, however, upon arriving at the Temple on the Ganges we knew that we could not stay there and decided to leave. We knew that the Radisson was the nicest hotel in the city, but had wanted to be close to all of the "activities" that take place near the Ganges. I must say that the only negative is that it is at least 30 minutes away from the River and the teeming "City of Light", but this actually wound up being a good thing because Varanasi is really intense. I have NEVER visited any city like it and you will want to have a nice place to stay after visiting the "old town".
The staff at the Radisson were first class. I would like to mention Alok at the front desk who should be working at the UN after handling all of our many crazy requests. Mohita, also at the front desk always had a smile and sweet hello for us, Sujan in the restaurant is such a handsome and attentive steward and Komal was always friendly.
We loved our stay. It was a refuge from the busy city and a great place to relax.More
