I didn't find anything good about visiting this temple, rather its a bad experience for me.
First of all you have to go through very narrow lanes to reach the temple gate.
No camera or metal is allowed. Security is so tight that you may feel you're entering a jail house where terrorists are held. Its too much crowded, people are literally pushing & fighting to get through the entrance. Floor is very slippery.
Unless until u r a spiritual god lover & believe in the myths of the stories, you wont regret skipping this place.

This temple is one of the 12 jyotirling in india and most visited by pilgrims too.Pilgrims from all over the world visit daily. Its an old temple situated between narrow lanes of varanasi. You cant enter the temple with mobile, camera or any other things due to security reason but management hadnt provided lockers.Local shopkeepers will provide you lockers when you by prashads from them at their rates.Security is very tight but i saw many people who infiltrate the line with help of local shopkeepers amd security personal. The day we visited was monday, and a bank holiday so there was a lon que even in morning at 7,It took 4 hours to have darshan of baba vishwanath for just 5 sec but still it was a heavenly feeling. For that i can be in que even for 6 hr.

If you wish to do no pooja - just walk in and pray -

If you desire - then at the entry point - you have shop where you can put mobiles and other valuables in the locker, and ask for a Panditji to do Puja, Settle the terms first with the Panditji and then move to Puja.
