This particular temple is actually the site of Sakyamuni Buddha’s first teachings and that’s why symbolically it holds a great value. This is also the place where Sakyamuni Buddha also known as the Gautama Buddha lived but ironically this whole place is little known but is worth every step you take to visit this place.

Just beautiful and so peaceful! This was the first Tibetan Temple we ever saw and we were amazed by its architecture and very beautiful paintings.

Good to see Tibet & it's religion accepted - as are ALL faiths in this part of world. Serene atmosphere with a few monks around who invited me inside temple to take some photos - shoes off, of course.

There is too much to share on this topic but don't be afraid to ask questions and pick-up a book for a detailed look at greatness of Buddhism from a Tibetan perspective.
