I really enjoyed staying at the Graha Cakra Bali Hotel and I would definitely go back to stay there again! The hotel grounds were immaculate and well maintained with very friendly hotel staff that would make you feel so welcome, relaxed and go out of their way to help when needed. The food and service there were great also with so many choices of food (both Western and Indonesian). There were so many different places within the peaceful hotel grounds where I could spend time relaxing at any time of day or weather conditions. The level of cleanliness at the hotel was high (and I have high standards) so I was very impressed! I would definitely go back there to stay again and would recommend it to anyone, whether it for business or holiday! :)

We stayed here when there was an absence of other guests. Therefore we had great service with our room well serviced daily. Air conditioning worked perfectly, fresh bottled water daily, and 2 swimming pools. Breakfast was substantial enough with choice of either Indonesian or Western Style food. Over all a pleasant stay.

We arrived to the hotel quite late at night but the staff were quite accommodating and helped us with our bags to the room. There was always someone at the front desk to help you and they spoke English quite well.

The room we stayed in had 2 King Single beds in them. The room was already cooled for our arrival which was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom was simple but worked well. The room was clean and tidy. There were 2 bottles of water there on the counter for us to use for brushing teeth and drinking - these were replaced daily for free which was nice. There were enough pillows and cushions and i had a great sleep each night.

Perhaps a brief introduction to the room would have been helpful for some...some of our friends didn't notice the bottle opener was part of the bathroom counter...nor did they notice the light switches were on the bedside table but i personally located these relatively easily as the light switches are often on the bedside table in hotels...

The location was great for where we were going and needing to be. There were nearby shops and amenities. Although on quite a busy road, i never heard any traffic noise. The swimming pools were great as was the day bed near the restaurant.

The food was fine for me. I personally had Nasi Goreng (Indonesian breakfast) each morning as it was tasty, filling and a pleasant way to start the day. I did have the American breakfast on the first morning but the Nasi Goreng was better in my opinion.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. They were present but unobtrusive and very helpful when we asked them for information or any help.

Overall, i would be more than happy to stay there again and bring my family.

We recently had a birthday party here with 50 other friends. The restaurant was well decorated and our buffet dinner was very good. The employees and manager was very accommodating and helpful. We liked the atmosphere and found it easy to mingle with our guests. The kids enjoyed swimming in the two pools and playing on the lawn near the restaurant. It's a nice place for a dinner with a moderate sized group. We also had a friend who stayed overnight and she enjoyed the hotel and the room

The garden is quiet and the grounds are set back from a very busy road. You don't hear any of the city noise here.

The pools are nice. One is set up for learning scuba diving, thus it is quite deep. Fun for kids too but keep an eye on them in the deepest pool.

My review of the Graha Cakra Hotel:

The hotel is located a fairly central area, so it's easy to get to Sanur for the day, but also to go to Ubud or Bedugul.

There's a good selection of facilities at the hotel. There's two pools, a tennis court, a beautiful outdoor stage with traditional stone carvings, and lots of open areas. There's also easy access to a ricefield walk and spa just across the street. The central garden has a wonderful pond and fountain in the center, and all of the walkways are lined with trees and flowering bushes. There's so many plants that it can be easy to forget you're in a city. There is a daily breakfast included at their restaurant, where you can choose from an American or Indonesian breakfast. For lunch and dinner, the menu has a varied selection of both Indonesian and Western food. Most of the food I tried I found to be good, tasty but nothing spectacular, although there were a few items that I found a little disappointing.

The rooms are nicely appointed with a nice mix of modern fabric and colors with a traditional style. Each room has a selection of small antiques displayed on the wall. I particularly like the antique bronze batik stamps that are used as lighting. There's air conditioning in each room and each room has its own porch or balcony. The beds are nice, actual spring beds with good firmness, good sheets, and lots of pillows. The bathrooms are great, with warm-colored stone tiles, a large counter and mirror, and a bathtub with a shower. There's hot water and actual water pressure, so the showers feel pretty nice after a long day. The amenities provided in the bathroom are plentiful.
