“Water Sports”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

We did snorkelling, turtle island, and parasailing. The staff was friendly. Snorkelling wasn't great though - the water was dirty; it was hard to see anything but the single species of fish that swam to eat the bread the guide gave them. Although the guide saw a stingray, I wasn't able to because of the poor clarity. Turtle island was alright: they had quite a few animals in addition to the sea turtles (eagles, owls, toucans, bats, monitors, iguanas, pythongs). The conditions for the animals were poor and basic, however. One python had ticks and another had a damaged eye (some were also aggressive). I was quite relieved to learn that most of the animals spent only a few months in these facilities before being released into the wild. The parasailing was the best part (the view was really good); make sure they put the harnesses on correctly so that you're comfortable, though. Lastly, they took a few pictures for an additional price and the quality was poor; I wouldn't recommend them at all. Lunch was good (they had vegetarian meals). There's a lot of better things to do in Bali; I wouldn't recommend going to this place!

“What a great dive operation”
Reviewed 27 August 2012

What a great team at Serangan!

We dove two days with them (total 6 dives). My wife and I completed our AOW with them. They were very good and we had no problem getting our prior Adventure dives recognized.

We rented BCDs, regulators, weight belts and wetsuits from them. The equipment was in good condition.

The whole time we were there they made us feel like we were on vacation. The staff took care of everything. From loading the gear onto the boat to switching everything around between dives to rinsing off all the gear (even our own) at the end of the day.

Before and after the dives, at the shop, the non-diving staff offered us hot and cold beverages as well as snacks. The lunch provided on board the dive boat was excellent. The staff all speak English so there is no issue with communication.

During the dives themselves (mainly drift diving), there is a great variety of corals and small colorful fish. We did get lucky and saw some rock fish, lion fish, sea turtles and a sea snake. We did not see the elusive sunfish (mola mola) unfortunately. The water is quite clear so photography or videography is easy. lights can be useful for lighting under corals shelves. A red filter could be used if you find the colors a little off after your first dive.

I would definitely dive with them again.

“Diving in Bali Indonesia”
Reviewed 25 August 2010

We dove with them twice already and would consider it again. They go out of their way to ensure that you have an enjoyable and carefree time and their staff is extremely friendly.
They will take your gear to the dive boat, setup the kit, and switch the tanks between dives. And when the dive day is over they will again disassemble the dive kits, remove them from the boat, rinse and dry the dive gear and have it ready for the next day. They have 3 dive boats and the capacity to handle small and large groups. They will never over crowd the boat, and will ensure that there are no more than 6 divers per dive guide. When we went this last time, we were fortunate to be there during their low season, therefore most of the time there were no more than 4 divers per dive guide and more often than not we had a dive guide all to ourselves.
They dive primarily around Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan. Mostly drift diving.
If you like Mantas this is the place to go. Good for Macro photography, coral, sponges, schools of fish, getting close to turtles and the occasional skittish shark.
Their staff works equally well with very experienced divers and they will accommodate the recently certified uncomfortable diver.
Their dive package includes 3 boat dives per day, tanks, weights, lunch, snacks, drinks and hotel transfer to and from the dive shop and not to mention, no tipping or other hidden charges or taxes. Their pricing in comparison to other operators in the region is extremely competitive. Rentals are available if required.
If you book both diving and accommodations with them; they will provide free airport hotel transfers on arrival and for departure. Their pricing on accommodations are extremely competitive and well worth considering. Personally we would recommend going during their off season. From what we have heard, that during the months of July through September is their busiest period as many divers will head down to Bali just to see the giant sunfish or as the locals call it the Mola Mola.
Would we consider going back again? Most definitely.
As for accommodations we were fortunate enough to get very spacious rooms at the resort Swastika Bungalows for the first half of our trip that included a buffet breakfast and wireless internet in the room, and for the remainder we stayed at Parigata Resort & Spa that too included a buffet breakfast for two and wireless internet in the main lobby and restaurant. Another hotel to consider is the Tamukami, large spacious rooms, including a la carte breakfast, though no free internet or free wireless. In Bali you literally get what you pay for when it comes to accommodations.
