“We enjoyed but probably wouldnt go again.”
Reviewed 9 June 2014 via mobile

We got the leopard package. Souvenir alone makes the upgrade worth it. A bali marine park outdoor hat. Didnt know where the welcome drink was redeemed so just forgot about it.
Park is huge!!! Orangutan seemed really sad and not looked after very well. Elephant ride was by far the highlight.
Make sure you tip the elephant handlers as they will get you a really cool photo which is otherwise not offered by park.
Also waterpark was great but dated but was safe and we enjoyed with out 2yr old. (Nice just to cool off)
Buffet lunch average nothing fancy but hey included with package.
Would recommend to everyone. But make sure to go early as we arrived at 9.30 and walked straight up for photos ... We slowly noticed how packed it gets as the day went on. We left at 2.30pm. And found 5hrs was plenty.

“Forget the Zoo”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

This is basically an orang utan rehabilitation centre. The layout is magnificent, & as good a zoological experience as you'll ever encounter. Our third visit in 6 years confirms the great things they are doing in Nature Conservation, Dozens of Orang Utan orphans have been returned to the wild in Kalimantan. The Safari layout is fantastic with the visitors in cages while the animals roam free. The aquarium is also a must see, & the elephant show, while basic, is an authentic documentation of man's impact on their environment.

“Horribly overpriced. Park is not even completed with fun park closed”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

I insisted on visiting after reading so much good reviews. And after visiting, i wonder why it's rated so high. Paid USD $69 for Dragon package that comes with lunch (that is actually worth just barely $10) so if you really must visit, take the hopper package that is $20 cheaper without the lunch.
overall, i don't think this attraction is worth the money at all. to find out the details on why, visit http://molly-mia.blogspot.sg/2014/05/mias-travel-log-bali-day-3-bali-safari.html

“excellent and well kept animals”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

This is our first time in Bali and we were taken to the park by Australian cousins.
The place is clean the animals well fed and happy, the staff are very polite and you can tell they love the animals and enjoy their jobs
The added bonus was we stayed at the mara hotel so from our balcony we could watch the rhinos and zebra pour bliss
Well done and they deserve the award
Not sure what the manners are going on about?

“Paid for leopard package-Don't waste your money”
Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

The park is certainly worth a visit, but next time I would go for a cheaper package.

I paid for the leopard package through an agent at an apparent discounted rate, until I paid for it at the gate and the staff converted it to Rp at a much higher rate. What should've cost U$273 for 2 Adults and 1 child ended up costing 3,148,000Rp... Approx A$35 more.

Once we entered the park, the staff were lovely and very helpful. Although we still never received our free welcome drink as we could not locate where to get that from... (apparently the restaurant is a silly place to put the welcome drinks.)

Don't waste your time watching the piranha feeding, it's like watching gold fish eat fish food. The staff use a raw cleaned chicken to feed them, so the fish are extremely sedate.

The safari tour was good, animals looked healthy. My 8 year old son loved his elephant ride, even though it was for only 10 minutes. We had photos taken with an orangutan, luwak, and a lion cub... The staff are great about letting you take photos with your own camera, instead of buying one of theirs.

I was very disappointed with the lunch on this package. The staff said we could have lunch anytime from 12pm to 4pm, only we got there at 1pm and the food was stone cold.

The water park was old and withered, my son could not free slide down the slides, he had to push himself down (only 2 were suitable for his age, the rest were for younger children). The water park certainly is not suitable for adult children.

The so called "fun zone" was a complete disappointment. All but 2 rides were closed for maintenance. The ride titled "the journey to the end of the earth"... what a joke.... It's a slow boat that goes around in a circle, you get to see 2 peacocks on your journey and a couple of fake crocodiles. Oh and my 90 year old granny walks faster than the boat travels.
