I stayed in this amazing villa over the Easter break in 2014.
No expense has been spared in creating a beautiful and relaxing environment on a huge block of land right by the beach. All bedrooms were equally stunning with brand new bedding and quality furniture.
The outdoor private shower to 'my quarters' overlooking the rice paddies was a favourite feature of mine. While the fancy pool and cabaña ensured a secluded holiday atmosphere, perfect for a private getaway.
If you wanted a break from the sunshine, they were ample indoor living areas, including a fantastic pool room, massage room, and a large upstairs deck/terrace which captured the breeze and provided an excellent view out to the ocean and other islands. As well as a great place for a nap on the day beds.
The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and were able to organise drivers, masseurs and supplies at short notice. I really enjoyed the location, however it probably wouldn't suit any 'party animals' wanting to be close to Seminyak.
Ubud, however is a scenic 30-minute drive away, which captures the authentic Balinese culture with some amazing restaurants.
While about 40 minutes walk north along the beach (or 10 min drive) you'll find a chilled and funky surf club. There you can order cocktails and be served Western and local meals. We had an in-house-chef during our stay, who kept us well fed and served up some fantastic dishes, ensuring we didn't feel the need to venture out much for meals.
This is a first-class villa, and comes thoroughly recommended. I know we'll be back!
PS: If you're looking for a good day trip during your stay in Bali, I found the Downhill Eco and Educational Bike Tour really enjoyable (http://baliecocycling.com/cycling-tour/)
