“Basic hotel but with good location”
Reviewed 20 December 2012

This tiny hotel is located very close to Jimbaran Beach and all that great seafood restaurants.

The rooms are big, have a nice balcony, but are little musty....the worse thing is the bathroom...too old and needs a urgent refresh.

On the other hand, the staff is very nice, helpful and polite. The breakfast is great! There isn't much choice, but is delicious. The pancakes, the fruits....and it is included in the room price.

There is free wi-fi in the lobby and the hotel has a nice little pool.

From there you can walk north to visit the fish market, the food market and the small stores.

Great for a short stay after a long flight!

This hotel grew on me. Initially I was unimpressed, but the service was really great and I had a number of problems that the hotel staff were fantastically super about (lost wallet = panic...need I say more?) They went above and beyond, for sure. We were on the top floor facing the courtyard -- nothing special about the room, though it was fairly spacious. The walls are not very sound proof, but our neighbors were perfectly fine. There seemed to be some long term folks staying here as well: everyone was very friendly. I liked the little restaurant at the entrance and the breakfast system worked for me. Good wifi in the lobby, too. I almost gave this place a 3/5, but remembered how nice the staff had been. This is definitely worth something, and the location does make the hotel a very solid choice, not terribly expensive, though not exactly backpacker.

The proximity to the airport, beach and awesome Jimbaran Bay Beach (and seafood and spectacular sunsets) really makes this place good value. As another reviewer has said, if Kuta et. al. is not your thing, this is a viable option that won't completely break the bank. The village also grew on me and the Balinese hospitality shone through on everything: from asking simple directions, to getting help with an ATM, even getting an ice cream. We were in town for the triathlon last summer and the whole town seemed to know all about it, so that was kind of fun.

Beauty all over and in the least expected places. I liked Jimbaran and this small hotel was a good base.

Only stayed for one night and wouldn't have stayed anymore. Got to the hotel and was surprised by the size of the room.. you walk into a lobby area which turns out to be the living room to your appt. style hotel room. We had a little backyard area which led to our own bathroom which had a bathtub and outdoor shower. Was really surprised with the place considering it was only $25AUD/night figured this was really good value for our money. Then the creepy crawlies started to roll in. First we had a big spider.. fine I can get over that. Then we had a handful of geckos...I can get over that too. But as we were laying in bed we found a few little bugs no bigger than a couple mm in size...we kept killing them but we kept finding dozens more. We finally went to the front desk after we caught one in a cup and they proceeded to come change out sheets for us and spray some bug spray. No more than 20 minutes later we had more of these tick like bugs crawling up from the sheets. They must have been stuck in the bedframe or something. Either way, it was disgusting and no hotel should offer a room like this.

Came with basic brekky, eggs and toast or pancakes with coffee
5 minute walk to beach which has a handful of seafood restaurants and small market area to shop
nice and close to airport only about 40,000IDR for a taxi
free wifi in the lobby/brekky area

Don't expect much from this hotel. It's good enough for its price. Spacious room and clean (more or less), but toilet in a quite bad condition. Best thing, its location, just a few meters from the beach and really close to all restaurants in the center area of the beach. Staff seemed nice, but really were not very diligent. I think there were not very confortable with English, and we had some misunderstandings. They do not accept credit cards, which might be a problem.

We (2 persons) only stayed for one night in this hotel on our Jimbaran leg of our two weeks trip to Bali in low season April 2012 before our flight back home and do not regret. Much more suitable departure point for us than Kuta (which we visited on a day trip from Sanur) and quite a lot total opposite based on our short stays. The price is cheap even by Bali standards and the location beach/seafood restaurant wise is superb.

Our room was on the ground level and it was really large and pretty clean although a bit worn out as the whole hotel seems to be. The room had a fridge and an AC which is always nice on these latitudes. The TV was showing finals of Indonesian Idols. There is also a pool available which looked quite nice but we didn’t get to spend any time in it. Our room had a strange kind of an decorative thingy behind the back window. This being a terribly dirty fish puddle where fish were trying to grasp oxygen from the surface. We hope our’s was the only one of such things in the whole hotel. They should really get rid of the poor fish.

BTW: You could only pay the room by cash and the two ATM's are located a bit far from the hotel to the north along the main road, the closer one not accepting my VISA.

We arrived late after a long day of travelling. We had a car pick us up and take us to the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean, not flash but you can't complain for US$16 a night. We stayed for five nights because we found it good value. We enjoyed being away from the bustle of Kuta. Ate some great food in Jimbaran on the water and in the main street in non-western restaurants.
The staff were great and we loved talking to them. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool, banana pancakes for breakfast and appreciated free wifi. We would stay here again if we ever go back to Bali. We stayed in Feb 2010.

Room Tip: We had a non-air con room and it was fine.

Stayed here 2 nights on a stopover, basic but great value for money and very close to the beach and the central fish restaurants on Jimbaran bay.
