Keraton Jimbaran Beach Resort
Ranked #21 of 62 Hotels in Jimbaran
Reviewed 14 November 2013

Good location in Jimbaran once you decide to spend your holiday a bit more active than at Inreconty, ect. Sunset is better than all Jimbaran 5-stars have. Nearest village colours your stay with crowing morning and barking evening as well as provides warm hospitality from 7 am to 10 pm. Food and beverages are mostly overpriced but it rewards with level of service and kindliness given by staff. Especially i would like to mention here Gede Sudharma working for Joglo restaurant and a lady called Aryu (spelling may be different), who took over all efforts re romantic dinner on behalf.
The only think that slightly upset me still)) is i didn't get a special memorial gift upon departue as it was stated at the offer initially - all other conditiones were met.

I spent 4 nights in september and enjoyed my stay at Keraton Jimbaran. The garden is absolutely gorgeous, the pool is big and the beach is great (for Bali Standards). The rooms are decorated with old wooden Bali furniture and a very comfortable bed, its not new or modern, but I like it. The bathroom is okay but could do with a bit of renovation.

The location is good, its quiet and with a couple of seafood restaurants in walking distance. Its fun to see the planes landing and departing at the nearby airport (but luckily there is no noise from the airport). Staff is friendly and helpful.

On the negative side:
Breakfast - no fresh juices but the horrible "artificial" juices, lukewarm and pretty tasteless tea and coffee (and please do serve pots or make tea and coffee self-service, so that you dont have to ask for a refill). Also, in Bali, so many wonderful fruits, but not here.

Free WiFi is only available in the lobby :-(
And as mentionned before, the prices in the restaurant are too high. Its okay too pay a bit more, but to pay 70'000 Rp plus tax for a large Bintang is ridiculous.

We spent four days at the Keraton beach hotel in September. Overall a very good stay, liked the swimming pool and beach area which is very close to the beach sea food restaurants. Front desk staff were very friendly - buffet breakfast was busy, food selection was just OK. The gardens are very well maintained as are the pool and beach bed areas. The rooms are spacious with garden facing patio / balcony - room cleaning service was excellent with an evening turn down service.

The positives: On the beach, good pool, large rooms, available shower rooms if your flight leaves late, and they allowed us to stay on the resort till 6 PM. Beach is average, good for sunset watching.
The negatives: our bathroom smelled like sewage. We tried closing the bathroom door, but the smell was still horrible!!! Be aware this hotel is OLD which is why bathrooms smell even at the restaurant. No internet in the room, only in the lobby. We tried to make a local phone call at the reception and they made us pay! The restaurant prices are horrific. The beer cost 75 000RP ($7.5) 3 times more than the other hotels charge.Overall it was not worth $150 per night that we paid and there are much better alternatives!

Where to eat: We ate at one of those fancy beachfront restaurants and my husband got sick with fish. Later I discovered a very nice clean local cafe that is very close to the Keraton called Mentari cafe. I had the best grilled prawns for $6, it was soooo delicious! Go to the beach make a right and walk 20m, you will see lots of boats parked on the sand, turn right again and go into the local alley where locals make massages, sell drinks, batics and clothes. I bought batics there for $5 each. The restaurant owner is Ibu Billy (speaks little Russian), a very nice and welcoming lady! Their phone number is 08283611724.

I stayed with my boyfriend for 5 night in sep 2013. I chose it because it is on the beach, close to the airport (20 min drive). the beach is large, clean and sandy. the superior room we had was upstairs looking to the next yard. the first night we could not sleep due to the dogs and rousters next yard. the second day they upgraded us to a dexule room, (looks the same only that is in centered bungalows and no noises). The breakfast is substandard for 4*, for us, Europeans not to tasty. bad coffee, bad service. many tourists were german. cleaning is not their strong quality.

Room Tip: ask for a deluxe room to be able to sleep, the superior one will offer you dogs and rousters songs a...

A traditional Balinese hotel on Jimbaran Bay which looks a bit tired - especially sun loungers, side tables etc. Very peaceful position, with swimming in bay, walking on beach or dining at one of the many small restaurants on the beach to watch the sunset. Food lacked imagination- from the included breakfast (but adequate) to the BBQ seafood. Some staff delightful but had to go and fetch a waiter from inside when seated outside on each occasion ( and hardly anyone there)! Same problem at reception when staff chatting and appearing not to notice several people waiting.
Despite some of the above I would certainly stay again...iris good value.

This hotel had the most beautiful grounds of any where we stayed on our trip, although not the best view (Baruna Cottages on Lake Batur holds that honor). The service was excellent, the private beach was quiet, and the buffet breakfast was delicious. We couldn't have been happier!
