“Traditional Balinese Resort”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

Built in a traditional Balinese design, the resort grounds and buildings are lovely. The rooms are large....not modern, but very comfortable. Ours had a lovely balcony although you really couldn't keep it open because of insects and the heat and humidity that you would let into the room. Rooms have air conditioning. Wi-fi is available free in the lobby or restaurant areas (unfortunately not in your room). The resort fronts the beach where you will find the pool and restaurant area. Sunsets from this area are "to die for". Breakfasts are substantial and good and the bar (though overpriced) has great drinks to offer. Wine is overpriced and disappointing.
Unfortunately the last night here, the air conditioner went on the blink and we roasted in our room and barely slept. I'm not impressed with the "town" of Jimbaran but if you simply want to stretch out on the beach or by the pool this is a nice place to do it.

We got villa for 3 days. The villa is good but the services are bad. To get warm water from the shower you got to pray the Indu Gods, and when you get it it takes 5 minutes to get your entire body wet.
We paid 10.000.000 local currency but they asked extra 200.000 per day for wifi, but only one person can use the wifi! At breakfast if you want an espresso coffey you got to pay extra. The buffet in the evening a very poor for very high price.
The surroundigs of the hotel are worthy of 3rd world and not at all reassuring. Its a real adventure to walk on the pavement along the road without risking to fall in the drainage holes all along the pavement.
Will not come back here, many other better places in Bali!!

"Olde world" Bali, architecture & style. Right on Jimbaran Bay. Town house style accomodation, with 4 poster beds and large rooms.
Good location, good pool, beach needs new lounges!!
Staff always smiling and helpful and ready to give any assistance required.
Right next door to beach seafood restaurants..[cheap] & on beach to watch sunset.
Beautiful gardens with hundreds of bonsai pots clpped to precision!!
Great breakfasts. restaurant not quite 5*.. but taxi to nearby 'Balique' or 'Chocolate Cafe' at Jimbaran Corner very good options & taxi to "Collection" at Nusa Dua for more restaurants, fixed price shopping & supermarket.
Plenty of nearby by market stalls.

Room Tip: Ground floor. Close to beach, pool & restaurant

Stayed here with a friend for 4 nights. On arrival staff were lovely and we were taken to our room only to find we had a queen bed and not twins. Straight away they rectified the situation and put us in another room for one night(nothing really wrong with this room) and then moved us to a better room the next morning. Rooms are extremely spacious along with the balcony. Great service at this hotel and staff extremely friendly. Breakfast was good. omelette and pancakes yummy. Beach was lovely. If you are looking for pure rest and relaxation I would recommend this resort. Don't expect to find any restaurants/bars besides hotel restaurants and seafood buffets on beach. One restaurant just outside the hotel had great food & cold beer at good prices. Not much in the way of shopping but doesn't cost much to catch blue metered taxis to Sanur or Tanjung Benoa

Room Tip: Deluxe room was very spacious

Nothing was too much trouble; every request or enquiry was dealt with courteously and promptly. We stayed for eight nights; by the first morning reception staff were recognising us, addressing us by our first names. The design of the hotel is very pleasing, in traditional Bali style, and impressive. The grounds are stunning, complemented by strategically-placed, lovingly-maintained bonsai - some almost eighty years old. We were regularly surprised to discover more features of the gardens, and our enquiries about identifying plants were eagerly answered by the staff. They even keep a photo album, compiled by the hotel's landscape designer, to assist keen gardeners like us.

The breakfast fare was generous, with some variation on a daily basis; a selection of fresh-baked breads, fruits, waffles, omelettes cooked to order. AND lashings of REAL (pork) crispy bacon - a luxury for us, as we live in Malaysia where hotels rarely, if ever, offer non-halal food. We took advantage of the hotel's location directly on Jimbaran beach - swimming daily in the calm sea on a gently-sloping sandy shore, dining at several of the nearby beachfront seafood restaurants, sitting watching sunsets and sipping cool drinks. Keraton offered some very reasonable dining packages, including a fun night that included a delightful buffet where we were seated on the sand at nicely-decorated tables by candlelight, entertained by a very talented trio of local musicians. Our days were spent alternating between the pool and the sea, taking occasional walks for shopping and street food. A few days we hired taxis - always available at the hotel, and at quite reasonable rates - to venture further afield. Most of our time, however, was spent taking it easy, soaking up Keraton Jimbaran Resort's ambience and "recharging our batteries".

We shall return!

Room Tip: Maybe choose a ground floor room close to the pool & restaurant, but all rooms seem to be quiet...

We stayed at the Keraton for 3 nights for a friends wedding. The service and food at the resturant was terrible. Our meals were cold, the meat was overlooked and it took over 45 minutes to get. The service at the resturant was also terribly slow. We had no hot water in our shower and the room stank. Would not recommend staying here to anyone.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in the middle of February 2014. I found it to be very comfortable. I was given a free upgrade as it was quiet, still rainy season. The room was spacious an clean. The staff were helpful. The breakfast buffet style was ample and I had one lunch and a dinner in the restaurant which was reasonably priced and well presented. I particularly liked the gardens and all the bonsai trees. The hotel it situated on jimbaran beach famed for their seafood restaurants. Whilst these are great the beach itself is disgusting, full of rubbish and certainly not a place to chilll out, so beware.
