Good location/ good restaurants / friendly staff

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 8 Dec 2017via mobile
Hotel is clean but beach we son as much clean as we expected. Room is nice and has classic Indonesian style. Staff are friendly and helpful, and can arrange tours there. Breakfast is good and Internet speed is high. Many seafood restaurants are 2 mins from the hotel and offer fresh seafood in a romantic atmosphere overlooking the sea. The hotel garden is very beautiful and pool is nice and clean.

The bonsai trees in these beautiful gardens are spectacular and some of the best I have ever seen, some of them over 60 years old , it's just a shame that the buildings and rooms are even older!
Absolutely everything in the room is tired, outdated , and in a state of decay.
Mould on the ceiling, saggy mattress, stained porcelain toilet , foul smell of rising damp/mould .
Not sure who writes the good reviews of this place or where they have been staying previously but to say the rooms could do with renovation is an understatement to say the least.
As mentioned previously the gardens are immaculate and a credit to the groundskeeper/s but it takes more than that to impress me these days especially at the room rates they are charging,
I can only recommend if your expectations are low and a nice garden and good location is more important than anything else!

Speechless and still sitting awake because I don't want to lie on the bed. So confused with the positive ratings. Decided to treat my husband and I to a resort stay ($110 AUD per night) pictures looked fantastic. Couldn't be more disappointed. After changing rooms 3 times hoping it would get better I decided there was no better and just had to deal with it. The rooms are dilapidated, smelly(something luckily I can't share😉) and 20 years out of date. I am not fussy but seriously they are worth $40 at the most. Bed is lumpy, sheets are dirty toilet seat is grubby see attached pictures. So run down it should be condemned! Think the photos were taken at least 10 years ago. Anyway worst money I have ever spent on accomadation anywhere ever. I will suck it up but please, please avoid at all costs. An embarrassing nightmare. 😨

We stayed for 4 nights in Keraton and enjoyed it very much. The resort is beautiful, staff is friendly, food also very tasty. mostly we enjoyed the hotel beach with a lot of shade and calm atmosphere for reading and daydreaming, walks along the beach, no loud music or watersports noise. Ask the nearby fishermen cooperative to take you out with a Bali boat if you feel adventurous!

At the start of our recent holiday in Bali..........visit #6 we decided to try a few nights on the west coast, at the Keraton Jimbaran Beach resort. This resort is close to the airport and has a superb beach front. We were delighted to experience the beautiful garden surrounds, with the numerous stunning bonsai plants and to see the authentic Balinese architecture. Our room was spacious and comfortable, although we have to say it sure needed a spruce up. We knew it was essentially clean, but due to aging it looked dirty. The pool area and beach were lovely and during the down time of the year, never crowded. Food was lovely, although a tad overpriced. Disappointingly wines offered on the wine list were not available and there was nothing offered in the way of an alternative. The staff were happy, smiling, helpful always. All in all we enjoyed our 4 nights here and can recommend this resort for is serenity and ambience.

Room tip: No matter what area you stayed I am sure you would be assured of peace and quiet.

this is a standard resort style hotel trying to be more upmarket but not quite getting there on customer service. Rooms are nice, although I was given one with no working air con and next to building work and had to fight to be moved (they did move me eventually). Staff not great in the restaurant at breakfast time although they are dealing with high numbers of foreign tourists who were not always very polite so perhaps they're just fed up! Breakfast buffet very good though. The gorgeous beach right by the pool and lounger area is the real draw here and it is stunning. Just think they need to up their game a bit if they're going for the deluxe resort crowd as they are missing a few tricks.
