I visited Bali as part of a grad trip with a group of 6 other friends. We weren't expecting much as we were somewhat on a budget, and knew that accommodation close to the beach would be more expensive. We paid a total of about 460 USD for 3 nights' stay.
When we arrived at the villa (we booked the pool villa), we were pleasantly surprised - the staff were waiting to greet us despite it being quite late at night already. They also helped with out bags.
The villa is spacious, and the villa owners, Neville and Sari, accommodated our group of 7 (the villa is advertised as being for 6 people only), providing breakfast for an additional person, as well as extra mattresses. Sari provides villa users with a handphone with which to call or SMS her, and she is available 24/7. This meant that we arranged the timings we wanted breakfast, on a daily basis. The villa is also extremely comfortable, being fully air-conditioned, has WiFi, and is equipped with 2 full bathrooms (with toilets attached). The kitchen is also fully equipped, and Sari will provide condiments/seasoning for anyone who wants to whip up a meal. As for entertainment, if you are looking to just rest and relax, the villa will give you no reason to ever leave, save for meals - the in-house entertainment boasts of over 1700 movies, and is fully loaded with all types of music and MTVs, all of which are fully up to date.
The entire villa was extremely well maintained. The staff cleaned our villa every single day, provided fresh and clean towels, cleaned the pool and ensured the pool was full with water (a group of boys splashing about can really displace a lot of water).
Beyond the villa, Sari was always helpful, giving recommendations on where to go to play, where to eat, or where to visit. She has a driver and a family sized van which you can rent at very reasonable prices, but do inform her of your plans the day before. One case in point - my group had originally wanted to do go-karting, but Sari informed us that the company had closed down. We then decided that we wanted to play paintball instead, after visiting the local fish market. While we were on our way, Sari called us, and told us that the paintball company had a closing time. She had gone the extra mile to call up the paintball company to tell them we were going, and arranged with her driver to provide us the best solution that met all our needs.
Truly, I cannot say enough, what a wonderful experience my friends and I had.
