We have been to the Jamahal Resort for our honeymoon in July 2012 and already fell in love with this place during that stay. Now, one and a half year later we even enjoyed it more.
The staff was so caring, the food was amazing every time and we enjoyed the great pool nearly all time exclusively. We had a normal villa this time while during our last stay we had the pool villa. One noticeable difference is that in the normal villa the bathroom was not open to the sky but had a glass roof above. Although we also liked the open bathroom we think the closed version is actually an better option.
We usually stay in 4-5 star hotels when traveling and we can honestly say the service, the cleanliness and privateness of this resort is absolutely outstanding.
When we make it again to Bali for sure we will come back to Jamahal!

Jamahal was one of the best things we had in Bali. It is carefully made specially for couples who want to spend quality time - really liked the villas and the beach. And had very helpful staff. Totally worth the price!

If we have one thing to advice - it would be increase the options for breakfast, they are just about enough. Having said that, even the other hotel we stayed in had similar options, maybe this is the norm in Bali (for vegetarians).

Room Tip: We were in the Spa room - Toya. Can say it was very good, especially the washrooms!

The loveliest place we've ever stayed. The attention to detail is evident in everything you do/see/touch. Comfy towels, perfect toiletries, incense everywhere for a mosquito-free stay, tasty food, good tasting pool water (!!). Worth it. If we're ever in Bali a second time, we'll splurge and stay here again. No question.

Cuca (a newly opened tapas restaurant) is just accross the street and served the tastiest food we had in Bali (or even all of Asia!). The beach close by is great. A lot of locals rather than tourists, which we loved to see. The next-door fresh seafood is a wonderful way to watch the sunset (We loved LIA)!

Room Tip: I can't see there being a bad room in the resort, but we sure did love having our personal pool.

Excellent service right from the moment you step out of the arrival halls into the airport transfer arrangement. Villa was well maintained. Only gripe i had was my outdoor shower did not have a cover for rainy days. Thus had to settle for the bath tub when it rained. Mine was the only villa that had this issue. Hope they resolve this soon.

In house transport arrangement could be made to nearby eateries FOC. Day tours can also be customized and arranged at the front desk.

If you are looking for a luxury hideaway then this is a great place. If you are looking to party on the beach then you probably want to look elsewhere. It's not one of those huge resort properties with lots of grounds and families with kids. But maybe that is exactly what you are looking for !?!

First things first, this is a superb quiet and stylish hotel. It's small boutique-style, intimate and the staff are impeccable. Service is just flawless. Don't freak out, it is not located directly on the beach but it is a short walk away, they also offer a frequent shuttle and the ride is so short I almost felt bad using it. Either way once you are there they have a nice simple little beach hut / bar with private lounges and umbrellas. Towels, water and fruit is provided free of charge. Beach is nice, not too busy and falloff is not too steep so you can wade out a fair way if you are not a strong swimmer.

Dining at Jamahal is in room, so there is not a communal restaurant. Again maybe not for everyone, but if you are looking for privacy or romantic time it's perfect.

Another thing to mention is Jimbaran is a not Kuta or Seminiyak, it looks a bit underwhelming at first glance too. There is less to do, but one of the highlights is strolling down the beach and having a sunset seafood BBQ. The beach area for Jamahal is about halfway between the two large clusters of restaurants. Walk down towards the four seasons and pick one that looks good. If you want to go out or shop just get a cab up to one of the more developed areas.

Stayed here in a pool villa but got upgraded. The Luxury Spa Villa is beyond description, it's like something out of a flashy music video. Seriously the private pool is perfection and whole suite is sophisticated and very tasteful. If you are a couple who want to relax and have a chilled oasis this would be hard to beat. I travel a lot and am very fond of luxury accommodation, this is up there with the best.

We stayed at Jamahal for two nights on our trip to Bali and this was the best stay we have had ever. We had a pool facing villa. The property is very well kept and maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They will personally know you and will take care of all your needs. The breakfast was served in room and had a good variety. Everything looked homemade and freshly made. They have choice for vegetarian food too. They do give personal attention to the details and would definitely recommend to stay at Jamahal. They have spa facilities too but I found it very overpriced. Also, make sure that you book your own cab for day tours because we got a cab arranged through them for a day tour and drop to our other hotel in Ubud and ended up paying an exorbitant amount for just the drop as we could not make rest of the trip due to rain...still will recommend stay in Jamahal

thank you for your wonderful feedback and sharing your positive experience with all of us.

during your next stay we will be happy to introduce you to our SPA pass, which is already available for as little as four treatments (or two couple treatments). this pass will offer you discounts on all of our SPA treatments (up to 30%). you will find more information including the detailed treatment prices and package on our new website.

in the rainy season the weather in central bali is often not as sunny as it is staying with us down south in jimbaran. where we often are having the showers during the night and early morning hours. afterwards it will clear up and on most days you can enjoy at least a bright sunny afternoon. since you have asked us to outsource your tour / transfer to ubud to a local taxi company we unfortunately have only heard about your disappointment via your comment in trip adviser.

thank you again for your visit and sharing your beautiful and memorable experiences, it was a true pleasure having you staying with us.

we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

We stayed four nights in a garden villa, the staff at the hotel were consistently excellent from the front gate and all through the resort. The main pool area for the garden villas is awesome - don't be afraid to stay there it's very private. Front desk were super attentive to everything we needed or any problem needing solving. Every detail was addressed.

In fact our trip was delayed one day due to a passport issue and our booking was shuffled back one day at very short notice without any fuss or any attempt to hit us with an extra charge. This is extremely rare in Bali where everyone is looking for a way to remove rupiah from your wallet, so on that alone I would highly recommend the Jamahal resort.

Our villa came with only a continental breakfast & we considered upgrading it but after just one day we declared it the best continental breakfast ever & we wanted nothing more. The muesli was the best I've ever tasted, the brown bread was just amazing and totally "non-Bali-like" as I have never experienced amazing bread in Bali before. Fresh fruit... In fact the continental breakfast is a selling point - seriously excellent, healthy, flavoursome, full marks!

I used the gym, it is actually very well equipped - small but new and totally functional. For meals, we did the usual Jimbaran beach front seafood restaurant at night which was awesome, and we also wandered down to the #1 rated Jimbaran restaurant named 'Cuca' and it was definitely something I would recommend & only about 800m from the resort. But we also ate in the Jamahal resort (only once) and we thought the food was simply sensational and at least as good as Cuca, so I would highly recommend you try a few dishes from the restaurant menu.

The only negative of Jamahal resort is the immediate location - the street it is on (Jalan Uluwatu) is not nice or safe to walk on, traffic is constantly heavy the sidewalks are non-existent and it's just not an attractive district... The staff are obviously aware of this & they are very quick to order you a cab or the security staff at the gate will quickly hail one on the street to save you the effort. So if you are going anywhere (even the short trip to the beach) you need to get the staff to grab you a cab it's usually only a short wait but I'm the kind of guy who really wants to get out and walk the local streets so this was a negative for me... but I guess most other people probably don't mind waiting 10 minutes for a cab to arrive whilst on holiday.

Thanks to all the staff at the resort for looking after us during our stay, we really enjoyed your resort!
