“This hotel ruined our holiday”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Terrible hotel, this hotel ruined our entire holiday. The rooms are old, require complete renovation, dirt everywhere, towels really thin from years of use, mould in bathroom, swimming pool with green water, a pool bar that doesn't open. The staff is terrible, responds to requests very reluctantly, was given a room with two beds, although we asked for one, have moved only a few days after our daily walk to them. Porter helped to bring suitcases but stayed in the room until we gave him money. Cleaners every morning took a towels and didn't return, or left one and waited till the evening, while we would leave, and under the pretext to put towels strolled around the room even in the evening. On the fourth day staying here, we went out for Breakfast, and our money was stolen from my bag. We got the feeling that the cleaners were waiting for an opportunity to find money or valuables. In short, we left the room for half an hour to have breakfast at the hotel, room was cleaned and money went missing. After trying to find out where our money, they told that no one has seen or knows, and the police will not help. And as for breakfast, we got a choice of 1 pancake, or 1 egg... My husband asked for a pancake and an egg, but he was told he can only have 1 or the other... We never write negative reviews about hotels, but this hotel has just surpassed our worst expectations! Don't make our mistake, do not stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in a deluxe room, standard rooms have a balcony, but the deluxe, don't... Go figure...

Stayed for 10 days, was given a twin room where we had to rearrange the furniture every day.

Rooms were nice other than the bathroom which needed a lot of TLC! Tv had good channels too. WiFi was intermittent in the room but better on the porch.

Staff were pleasant but every day without fail the cleaners would take our towels and not replace them meaning we had to phone and request a new pair back - that was really annoying!!

We didn't bother with the restaurant, on day one we viewed the menu and decided against it.

The pool was a bit dirty and had lumps of sand in the bottom, but nice enough to still take a cooling dip. There's a swim up bar - why have this built in and not use it??!! Would be so cool if it was! They'd rake it in.

Couple of bad nights sleep as some Aussie neighbours were very loud at ridiculous times of the morning but that's Kuta I suppose...

Overall, I've stayed in a lot better but I've stayed in worse too.

Location is great, close to Kuta Beach only 15 minutes walking distance. Easy access, not too far from the airport, close to shopping center, food are everywhere. The hotel is not a 5 star but it has swimming pool. Though not big, good enough to relax if you decided to stay in the hotel to stay away from the noisy Kuta Beach.

Hotel bar sells alcohol drinks, it's restaurant closed at night but not to worry, 24 hours shops are everywhere. Breakfast is okay-ish, it comes in a simple set menus where you choose the main course. Sometimes they have buffet too. Many complaints come for the staffs for being not too friendly. Yes, they are not smiling enough or not being helpful enough. They tend to give you straight face while taking orders or when you asking for something extra. But I think its not because they are not happy to do what you ask them to do. It is because they are what they are, the individual personality combine with the lack of customer service training despite they have been working for years in service line can be the major reason why they give you straight face when they serve you.

The new wing, room is spacious enough for 6 people, bed is quite comfy to sleep on but the bathroom is a NO for me. After shower, the room I slept on the last time I was there had water stagnant, smelly, rusty bathtub, and dirty. I really thinking the toilet and the room needs proper lightings, it was a little dark the last time I was in. Hopefully they fix it and not all rooms having the same problem.

Room Tip: Aks for the new wings (as far as I could remember they have the old and the new wings)

It was probably one of the best budget hotel to find in kuta. The inside is beautiful, the swimming pool is at the center, surrounded by the rooms and a beautiful garden. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is poor though and i was surprised when I asked for a pancake, the waiter answered that if I get a pancake then I am not allowed to eat something else...

i was stay here for 2N/3D on 11-13March2014. this is a nice old hotel, some rooms (deluxe room) already renovated. i stay on deluxe room, twin bed. the room is spacious, clean, complete with refrigerator. bathroom complete with hot water and bathtub. but i dont like the cabinet, an old style one. i love the hotel exterior, feels the traditional balinesse atmosphere. the swimming pool is very nice, there are kids pool also. the guests almost 80% foreigners. breakfast is so-so, nothing much for option, friedrice, noodle, chicken. toast, fruits. there are no cakes. if u want eggs you have to request for eggs to the restaurant staff, because there's no eggs stations. the best part is the location, there's an exit back door near the spa, and it will take you to jalan bakung sari, there are alot of stores in that street. you can buy souvenirs and else. along that road will take you also to the famous kuta beach, for about 10minutes by walk, and you can easlily find alot of restaurant around the hotel. that's all i need for my holiday. this hotel is very value with the price

Room Tip: 2nd floor room already renovated, 1st floor room exterior is nice, traditional balinese.

Found this hotel to be an adequate, no frills hotel. The room was clean as were the common areas around the hotel. We were thankful for the room fan in the ceiling to circulate the air.The main township with the shopping centers and restaurants and the beaches were within walking distance. We found the the breakfast to be nice with the Indonesian rice to be very moreish. The pool was clean and refreshing in the heat. We also found it's location to be very quiet as it was just off the main drag.
Overall it was adequate and livable for our short stay of five days. The people were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was good, not flash but nothing that we deemed to be terrible or frightful.

We arrived just before midnight to check in and were greeted at reception and checked in easily with no hassles at all. Our bags were taken to our rooms for us.
Room and bathroom was clean, there is not much to the room but you get what you pay for. Perfectly fine hotel, clean gardens, central and had everything you needed.
Paid $29 AUD for the room and were more than happy - only were staying for one night and it did the job perfectly.
