We wanted to stay in something cheap, but good so we consulted our lonely planet and found this place. The description in the lonely planet is correct, it 's a good place to stay for a few days. The service was very friendly, there is a pool and the bungalows are placed in a beautiful garden. The beds aren't the most comfortable (quit hard) and like many other places i was a shower with cold water but we couldn't complaint for the price (30.000rps. /room (less than 30 dollars))

The price was big 500 000 rupiah ($50), BUT the room was really great - 2 walls of 4 are glass doors, walls and ceiling are fair painted, lots of shells and electric sockets. Lighting is good enough. Huge terrace with scenic view on the garden and swimming pool.

In fact, in Mimpi they have several buildings and only 1 is really nice. This is 4-floor building far in the garden, behind the swimming pool. other buildings looks not so good. The price for nice rooms in 'good' building is OK, rooms in 'bad' buildings are overpriced - 300-350 th.rupiah for really sad interiors without AC.

WIFI is quite poor everywhere but building where router is placed.
Staff is really friendly.

In sum, if you have a chance to choose good rooms - you will be really happy to stay in this hotel.

We were looking for an economically priced guest house or cabin not too far from the beach and chose MImpi Bungalows based on the Lonely Planet write up and it has worked out well. We opted for Bungalow No 7, cold water and fan and that was more than adequate. The bungalows are set in a heavily treed compound which keeps the rooms cool, adds to the tropical sense of being in Bali and acts as an acoustic barrier from any noisebeyond the compound. The showers are cool and refreshing but not cold. There is quite a large swimming pool with chaise lounges, surrounded by trees and shrubs. Komang, the owner, is quite attentive and helpful if any need arises.

We had selected this place because of the good review in Lonely Planet. The rooms were far more expensive now then mentioned in Lonely Planet. The cheapest room is 300.000 rp now.
We had bungalow no. 2, they room wasn't very clean but most budget rooms in Bali are not, so we accepted the rate of 300.000 rp. When we sat on the bed we found out that there was a bug on it. So we put it outside. After a few minutes we found more and more bugs and even some sort of lice. It was disgusting! I got my legs full of red bite marks. We tried to get another room, but suddenly guard didn't seem to understand English (yeah right!) and when he watched the bugs on the bed he just crushed them leaving bloodmarks on the bed. We were only allowed to check out after paying the full 300.000 rp. We decided to check out (even though it was 23:00 o'clock in the evening) and found ourselves a nice and clean room at Hotel Prawita at Jalan Legian 63 for 250.000 rp. Our advice: stay away from Mimpi bungalows!!!

We are very sorry about this bedbugs problem, but it was 3 years ago and we have completely solve the problem, that was coming from rattan furniture. They have been removed and changed with solid wood ones.
