Samsara is located on a gang a 100m off Jalan Legion so only a short distance to the (restaurants, bars, beach) but not impacted by the noise when the main road is busy.

We took advantage of the 15% off rate. Superficially it has the look and feel of a much more expensive hotel. However the rooms are more functional and new than being personalised (no decorations just plain white walls). The pool is a nice feature.

Breakfast was limited, only being continental and even so only had very few choices. The main bugbear was the internet which was limited to the dining area and was very weak/ non existent at times. We even went to the Internet cafe next door.

Overall, a good option when staying in Kuta as a good value hotel in a great location.

We recently spent 3 weeks in Indonesia. We arrived in Kuta Beach with the intent of staying a few days and then venturing out to travel to other destinations (Gili Islands, Kalimantan, Java). We had booked two days at Samsara Inn prior to arriving so we would have a place to stay while we planned the rest of our itinerary. We enjoyed those first two days so much at Samsara that over the course of our 3 week holiday we ended up staying there on and off for 11 days in total. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. When we left for the Gili Islands they let us leave the bulk of our luggage at the hotel for 5 days, the same for when we went to Java and Kalimantan for 5 days. We were so appreciative that we could comfortably leave our possessions, without a second thought or worry. Our room was very clean and well maintained. The AC worked perfectly and the double safes provided ample space to store our items even though we really didn't feel we needed to lock anything away. The cleaning and maintenance staff were thorough and did a marvellous job tidying our room. The pool was always appreciated after returning to the hotel in the afternoon and the sitting area in the lobby was a nice place to relax and chat with fellow guests (Hi Peter & Emma!!!) and staff. The breakfast was simple but did the trick...there was always ample coffee and if there wasn't any made, the staff was sure to brew up another pot immediately. Even when we awoke ridiculously early due to jet lag, Heri, who was on night shift offered to make us coffee even though I'm sure he was busy with other duties. Linda, Ida and Nida were always smiling and were so helpful and friendly. You could really tell that they wanted the guests to be happy and enjoy their stay. The same goes for Asep, Badrul and Yohanes; always smiling and so obliging. The location of Samsara is perfect, close enough to shopping, restaurants and an infinite number of bars and clubs.... but because its off a laneway, its quiet and feels private and secluded as well... we loved this about this hotel. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff above all, absolutely made our stay wonderful, and made if feel like a home away from home. Make sure you take good care of that elusive white dog with the big black eyebrows!!!

We stayed at the Samsara Inn after a wonderful couple of weeks exploring Bali and Flores. This hotel was promoted as a three star establishment but it manages to tick many of the boxes attached to five star premises. The location is within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants and shops in the Kuta/Legion but it is extremely quiet. The rooms are tastefully but simply decorated and spotlessly clean with ensuite bathrooms. The rooms are not large but more than adequate and our room on the second level had an outdoor setting on the verandah overlooking the pool. The pool area is particularly wonderful and a welcome respite after the hustle and bustle of Kuta. The service was exceptional and I cannot recommend the staff highly enough.
Architecturally, the building is extremely pleasing to the eye with it's wide white verandas, fretwork ceilings, unique light fittings and large ceiling fans. Unfortunately the day spa was not due to open till after our visit but we will definitely be returning to the Samsara Inn on our next trip to Bali.

I stayed at Samara Inn with my friend 4 days ago and I can honestly say that the hotel was one of the best I have ever stayed at. The rooms are very clean, excellent air-conditioning and fan, and the bed is soooo comfortable. The swimming pool is to die for and breakfast is good. Even though the hotel is situated in a busy street, once you get in your room, there is absolutely no noise whatsoever. The hotel is very well situated if you need to find anything: shops, restaurants, minimarts...

Also, a massive thank you to all the staff at Samsara Inn who helped me massively with all the things I needed sorted! The also went the extra mile making sure I was happy.

The only downside about the hotel is that the Internet is extremely slow. It's not so much of a worry as the staff will reboot it and it will work fine again.

Will definitely recommend Samsara Inn to all my friend who will visit Bali.

Very well kept hotel in excellent position at the bottom of Jn Legian near Bemo corner and nearby Poppies 1 & 2. Rooms are very nice and clean with only complaint of a lack of storage space for your clothes and luggage. Pool is excellent and necessary with the heat and humidity. Breakfast is basic but you get what you pay for and this hotel was excellent value for money. If you read more of these reviews then you will see that the staff are one of the best features of this hotel. If the management wants to keep getting good reviews then hang onto these staff , pay them well and don't lose them, they really are the nicest caring people. Linda is a gem ,and I wanted to take her home but my girlfriend wouldn't let me (can't understand why not).

Room Tip: 3rd floor rooms have seats outside room with overhead fans.

The rooms can be a bit claustrophobic, the staff are lovely, the pool is a welcome retreat, but I think the size of the rooms really let this inn down. The location is perfect, so convenient if you want to be in the hubbub of kuta. We stayed one night, which was all we needed. The rooms are modern, clean, and tidy. The decor overall is really nice. The bathroom without a toilet door is a little unusual.

its a nice location in a small gangway from jalan legian, close to bemo corner. so shops, spas, restaurants and cafes are just around the corner, five minutes walking to the beach. we were staying here several times within our 4 month indonesia tour and thought this hotel was the best value for money.
linda and team are just lovely and take care of all your needs. the pool is a real benefit and big enough to swim your laps in the morning and/or have a sunbath. there is a continental breakfast buffet in the morning with toast, croissants, fruits, cereals and coffee and tea. there is no cooked breakfast though but they are building a restaurant next door which is going to open soon.
you can buy drinks all day.
the room was very clean, with a comfortable bed. it was cleaned every day. a/c worked perfect.
the rooms to the front might be a bit noisy, we always stayed in 201 or 202 or 301 or 302 which was quiet.
overall a home away from which we highly recommend. we would come back again and again.
thank you linda and the rest of the team.
