“Great family hotel”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

Spent a long weekend at HRHB and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff were all very friendly and attentive.
Deluxe Rooms are basic but clean, kids suite was very nice and spacious, kids loved it!
The swimming pool and slides at the hotel are excellent, we spend the entire day in the pool area, the swim up bar was amazing, with good choice of cocktails.
We booked a poolside cabana each day which was really nice, right next to the pool, or over the water, price includes a picnic basket ( bottled water, crisps and fruit) each cabana comes with a phone so you can ring for service ( drinks or food) if you decide not to hire a cabana, there are plenty of loungers around the pool.
Food at the hotel was average but tasty, good variety at the breakfast buffet.
Hotel is opposite the beach and within walking distance of markets and malls.
Good presence of security at the hotel, and police are set up over the road from the hotel.
There is live music at the main bar every evening, which can be heard from your room at night, but not that you cannot sleep.
Over all a very vibey, happening hotel with great facilities.
Would definitely be back!

Room Tip: If you don't want the noise of the band, ask to be in the wing outside where you enter through t...

Stayed here 11-21st of August 2014. Exceptionally clean hotel, staff are always around cleaning up. The staff are very friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in how your holiday experience is going and are willing to offer advice/suggestions on where to go. They can even book it for you!
Great place to stay with a family. Kids club (about $50 for a week) is great for 4-12 year olds. They provide activities, drinks and lunch for the kids. If you dine at 'Splash' and show the kids club lanyard the kids eat free there too. You pay a weekly rate and can use it up to 7 days a week!! They have a teen zone/family zone that is free! They have 3 movies on per day. Teen zone has Wii, play station, PC, laptop, pool table, etc.
The pool is great too, with a bar in the middle :) They also have water slides for people under 50kg and they have a pool for young people with play equipment.
We only had two issues
1- we booked the flights and accommodation through flight centre 6 families (19 people) and for some reason not enough rooms were allocated to us when we got here we only had 4 rooms. The staff at the hard rock quickly booked another 2 rooms on another floor and we were able to move to the same floor within 3 days.
2- the air conditioning wasn't working when we moved into the second room. We notified staff at the check in counter and within 10 minutes they had people there to fix the problem :)

Room Tip: We had a deluxe room and they either had a king size bed and 2 daybeds (about the equivalent of 2 si...

i stayed for 4 nights, breakfast were basic nothing like 5 star. Once they clean up the room and forgot to replace bath mat, glass, drinking water, laundry bag and the bed still in mess.
But they do have huge pool and the location were great, just opposite the kuta beach. The staffs were very friendly & helpfull.

We stayed at the Hard Rock hotel for 6 nights in August with our 2.5 yr old son & were overall disappointed with the hotel, we found this to be a very noisy hotel especially late at night & in the the small hours of the morning. The food was basic from the breakfast buffet to room service. We ordered room service on 2 occasions I ordered the signature burger at one point & the bun wasn't fresh & it was average. The pork ribs were small & smothered in an overly sweet sauce. We constantly had trouble getting through on the phone to room service or house keeping & our drain over flowed in our bathroom when letting the water out of the bath (which engineering did come & fix) the pool area was big but is pretty weathered & they have the cheek to try & charge $50 a day for the old basic cabana huts which were in need of a facelift. There are two positives the staff around the resort were all very friendly & helpful & the hotel location was great, however that won't be enough to bring us back we found the Bali Dynasty to be much better value for money and all round a better family hotel option.

We stayed here for 8 nights. Booked the toast and jam package on-line for seven nights at a great price, including the upgrade to the direct pool access chill out pool room. We wanted to stay an extra night, which became difficult over the phone and we had to do a separate booking on-line at a more expensive rate. Disappointing!

The check in was quite timely, especially as the room was prepaid and all details were already given online.

It is a bit of a maze to get to the room, but it was easy to work out after a day or so. The room was small, quite smelly and old looking, but we did get it for a great price. The Chill Out Pool was beautiful. The small Cabana just outside our door was amazing. We spent a lot of time just relaxing out by the pool. Although the kids loved the main pool, they enjoyed the convenience of being able to get a drink or snacks from our room.

The location was great with the beach across the road and plenty of restaurants with in walking distance. Next time I think I would stay in Legian. Just a bit quieter there.

Breakfast was OK, a good variety of food but just so many people. TIP: Get one member of the family to get the food from the egg station and the other/s to get drinks and other hot food. Don't forget to leave a hat on the table so no one sits there.

The main pool was beautiful. We hired a cabana for one day, which was a bit expensive compared the HRH Penang but we enjoyed the day. Kids loved the water slides and some of the activities, such as walk on water.

Overall, it was a great holiday. The Chill Out Pool Direct Pool Access is the only way to good.

We stayed 6 nights at the Hard Rock to celebrate my 40th birthday with our three children and we thought it was wonderful. Both our rooms were clean and spacious. I asked for a porta cot and it was in very good condition. The activities by the pool every day were absolutely perfect for our children and they came home with medal momentos. We participated in the events and even won free drinks. Our two year absolutely loved the sand area around the pool.

The breakfast buffet selection was average but the food was fresh and tasty. The only real criticism is the amount of sun lounges around the pool are limited as there are so many cabanas. The umbrellas for shade are limited also. The band does play in the evening so we requested a room away and we could only hear the noise at a dim level.

The atmosphere was friendly, safe and welcoming. After reading some reviews, I was tentative about booking the Hard Rock however we thought it was wonderful and it's defiantly on our list of returning Bali hotels. The kids had a ball!

Room Tip: Our room was on level four away from the noise
