The hotel is not what I expected. The entrance of the hotel is nice and the staff is helpful. While walking to my roon, you can see the marble floors in the corridors and inhale the smell of pinesol. When entering the room, you can see the white marble floors and no rugs. The walls were stark white and see bland. The bathroom tub had calking that needed to be redone as it was peeling.

The hotel is noisy. Since the floors were made of marble, you can here people walking down the balls especially with the women had wooden sandals. outdate and in is need of renovation. There is a one inch gap under the door which also contributed to the noise polution. Since our room had a patio, the view of pamls tress were great. I saw a spider in the room to find that that was at least a 1/8 gap in the glass panel of the window pane.

For such a long travel to get to Bali, I expected something better. I would have thought the name Hard Rock would have had a better reputation relating to the quality of their rooms. If you traveling with a budget, then you get what you pay for.

Good location, lovely staff who make you feel so welcome. Always greet with hello, how are you sir/maam

The pool is awesome, great for ALL ages, sand area for children, 2 small slides for children too, beach side cabana's, swim up bar. Also another pool on 1st level that is not as busy as main pool, with jacuzzi/spa.

The cocktails are a little expensive at 99000, can go to paddy's and get 8 cocktails for the same price. Great breakfasts, anything and everything, asian flaviours, american breakfast, fruit, cereals and omelettes made to your liking. The bar at night time goes off on most nights. Had a live band playing every night whilst we were there, nice that it is right in your hotel if you don't want to go out.

Apparently all rooms are non smoking, but that is not true since you walk into non smoking room and their is ash try and matches...I suppose they are allowed to smoke on balcony. Balcony is small, no chairs cant sit outside. (2-4th floors). And i swear if I saw that Rooster that woke me up every morning...................

Room was comfortable, tho always had small ants around. Did not think it was 5 star standard, but maybe it is in Bali Standards.

The hotel has a great location, beach is over the road, maybe 300m to Shopping centre and a km or 2 around to waterbom park, discovery mall shopping centre and loads of great restaurants on the same street. Do try Seafood House and Fukutaro if you like seafood chinese/japanese at good prices. Also a great cheap Japanese at the back of the discovery mall. Hotel spa is a little pricey but you can find a good one called Inner Glow just up the road past KFC. www.innerglowspa.baliklik.com

Uluwatu (monkey temple tour) be wary if you wear glasses. The monkeys steal them right off your face and then you need to pay to get them back. Not worth it if you cant see without your glasses.

All in all I would stay at Hard Rock again :)

Good location, lovely staff - you feel so welcome and you get treated like royalty. Although we booked and paid for 2 deluxe interconnecting rooms which were suppossed to have a view of the chill out pool, we only got 2 standard superior rooms away from each other as hotel fully booked. As we arrived late in the evening, I suppose we got given what was left. If you want a good nights sleep (which we do with young children), it will all depend on what block you end up in as you will either hear the roosters from about 4am or loud music from the band. Do youself a favour and book a cabana as soon as you get there as they get booked in advance - go for numbers 30 or 31 (I think) as they are a little bigger and use your 20% coupon that you get when you check-in. Pool is fantastic, but for Bali standards, expensive to eat and drink in there. Overall, it was a good stay, but next time we might try somewhere else. Go to Uncle Norms Bar in Legian if you want the coldest Bintang for $2AUD.

Thank you for taking the time to post this review about your recent stay at Hard Rock Hotel Bali. I am disturbed to hear that you were disappointed by your experience. We value all guest comments which help us to continually enhance our facilities and services, as we aim to provide nothing but the perfect experience for each guest.

We apologize that we had high occupancy and were unable to meet your request during your last visit. However, we have taken note of your room preference in our reservation data and we will ensure that your request for 2 deluxe interconnecting rooms is met for your next visit to the Hard Rock Hotel Bali.

We also apologize for the horrible rooster noise that you and your family experienced. Although rooster is very common in this rural area, we already reported this issue to the local community and chief of village. We are pleased that our continual dialogue with them will result in the cockerels being moved permanently.

We thank you for your impartial recognition of our friendly staff. Our guests’ satisfaction is our top priority and we take great pride in not only meeting individual expectations, but exceeding them. I am committed to ensuring that we address and resolve each point you have made.

Please accept our sincere apologies and our commitment to using your feedback to enhance the experience for all of our guests. I hope at some time in the future there is an opportunity for you to come back to Hard Rock Hotel Bali and to again enjoy a perfect beginning, which continues until the time you check-out. If you would like to discuss any of these issues in further detail, I would be happy to hear from you at marcom.bali@hardrockhotels.net.

I will start out with all of the positives. The staff were great. We were always greeted with warm smiles and the service was good. The pool is the best family pool that I have ever seen with a sand beach and a sand beach/pool area for small children. The resort was very family friendly with a great kids club. The food at the Hard Rock Café was better than most HRCs.
OK with that being said, the rooms are horrendous. I felt like I was in a 1950’s hospital room. It was just a tired old cement room with a little OLD TV mounted up on the wall. The closet was just a curtain around some rods to hang cloths from (pictures attached). The halls echoed horribly and being a party kinda place, there were drunk people talking loudly all night every night. To top all of that off, we also had the pleasure of having our very own rooster right outside of our room that started crowing at 4:30 every morning. Needles to say we got very little sleep. Other issues were, no in room internet, dirty floors, always having to sit next to smokers while eating, no lock on bathroom door which got me in trouble every time our two year old walked in on my wife, disgusting yet expensive margarita in the Splash bar and rationing of coffee at breakfast. There is no way that this hotel is even close to four stars. I have stayed in nicer motel 6’s. I would say two stars, three max but only because of the pool and staff.

Bali is an amazing place. This was our 4th trip to Bali in the last year and we will definitely be back. We will NOT stay in the Hard Rock Hotel.
