Everything in Bali is nothing short of pleasant. Friendly people, friendly smile. Beach is nice. Air is fresh. That translate to welcoming sense when you are at the lobby of this hotel when checking in. We were greeted with a smile and a drink, when you really needed. Talk about timing. Checking in was quite speedy and thats a welcoming relieve after day long flights. Did not use the service of the porter service since I do not like waiting for my luggage. When straight to the room after getting the key. It was a long walk from the lobby. And when you are dragging your bag a long, it tends to get longer. it was a 3-5 minutes walk on a humid night. Reaching the room and I was looking forward to have a hot shower and great night sleep. I guess it was not meant to be. The access key does not work. I was bit disappointed when that happened. The thought of going back to the lobby to get the access key working really makes me a bit annoyed. Luckily, there was a friendly staff making his rounds and he ask the front desk to send another access key card. It only takes a while for the key to reach the room and finally I managed to get into the room. The firts thing that I noticed was the smell of the room. I am not sure whether its purposedly scented or it was just the smell of an old room.
The room was pretty standard with your normal tea and coffee making facility, the standard bathroom soaps, shower gel etc. It is also equipped with an LCD screen with plenty of channels. That is a plus since surfing the channels is the thing that I usually do after a long day. Room is quite spacious with a rattan chair and your own personal verandah. But since the hotel is built to maximise the space they have, the room is facing some other building instead of the beach / sea. All in all the room is pretty clean and met my expectation. The one thing that stands out was the room decor of two masks 'staring' at you. For me, thats a bit creepy. They can do without that I guess. Do pack an adapter specifcally for Indonesia outlet (two pin round plug). If you are bringing a standard British Plug, you are out of luck. Bathroom is also equip with the standard long bath with shower and there is no seperate shower. Hot / Cold water is available and that is essential freshen up. The hotel also provide internet connection. The WiFi coverage reaches the beach front which is pretty impressive. But most of the time, you get connected to the WiFi but there is no internet / really slow connection / disconnected. I guess that is the place that the hotel should look into improving. Bed is not that great. Its not really 'comfy' that you can just enjoy your sleep, but it does serve the primary objective that is for sleeping.
Everytime I go to Bali, i will make sure to take some time to enjoy the beach. this is no exception. The beach is not really as good as the one in 'Kuta' where you have a very nice long beach that really goes into the sea. The beach around this area is more or less like the one in Nusa Dua but not as bad. The plus side is that you can reach the Discovery Mall via the pathway. Instead of using a taxi and walking down the street, you can still enjoy the beach while walking to the mall. The beach pathway used to see its better days. Since the hotel (Hotel Santika Premiere Beach Resort) next door had closed down, the atmosphere is a bit quieter. The pathway is usually well lid at night but since the hotel's closure, its really dark to pass through. So make sure you bring a torchlight or use the street if you want to go back to Ramada. The garden of this hotel is pretty impressive and have that Island feeling instill to patrons. It also has a swimming pool for the kids and adult.
Breakfast food was good I guess and in line with other International Buffet. I assume its not halal (no certification by Majlis Ulama Indonesia), so I just stick to have some fruit and seafood or non at all. That take a dent on my overall view of this hotel.
All in all, this hotel is good enough to stay for a few nights, but if you want to have greater access to Kuta Beach, I would suggest you give other hotels that have Kuta Beach as its backyard.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that face the beach front. Its nothing much but its better than seeing a building...

My hubby and I were recommended to stay at the Ramada Bintang by our good friends and it did not disappoint!
From our initial welcome, to the friendly face of Made in the Lobby Bar, to the smiling Oka greeting us at breakfast each morning We have been to Bali many times and have stayed at a number of different resorts all over Bali and can honestly say that the Ramada Bintang rates highly.
The breakfast was amazing, the selections at each station was to be seen to be believed. There was a fruit station, a porridge station, cereal and juice station, the hot brekky station, the sweet pastry and bread station, an egg station and the hot food section. I wish my tummy had of been bigger so I could try eveything :)
We had a ground floor room close to the pool and beachfront. Our bed was huge and comfortable as were the pillows. Our fridge was empty to enable us to purchase our own refreshments.
The new LippoMall is only a 5 minutes walk away and a huge supermarket called Hypermart was located on the ground floor which sold everything you can imagine - toiletries, Bintang, soft drink, fruit and nibbles.
A new Mozzarella Restaurant is across the road and provided yummy food and excellent service.
Ramada Bintang provided everything we needed for this short 5 night stay and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

Room Tip: Room 1043 was fantastic for a couple.

My family and i (2 adults and 2 teenagers) had a family room here for 6 nights in March 2014 and it was a really nice place to stay. We chose it because there was some entertainment in the form of poolside traditional dancing a few nights per week but when we were there, there was only dancing once and we think the rest of the nights were cancelled as it was very quiet.

The staff were all friendly and the breakfast was really good - we even found vegemite!!. My tip would be to go to breakfast a little later so you can sit inside as there is more choice.

My only complaint is the bed. It was the worst bed i have ever had, you could feel the springs through it. The single beds my children had were fine it was just the king size that was awful.

Having said that, i would probably stay there again but i would check the room first.

Must admit the resort needs a bit of a facelift. bUT, WE KEEP GOING BACK THERE, SO IT MUST MEET OUR EXPECTATIONS. Staff are extremely friendly and helpfull. Nothing beats the view looking over the ocean when the sun goes down and you are enjoying a nice cold Bintang Pilsener or a cocktail. They also have a live band playing on the beach front everynight. Love the interaction with the young staff on the dancefloor

Room Tip: Have found rooms on the 3rd level give you a lovely view of the gardens and the squirrels playng up...

Check in on the 1st if March 2014,. The front bell boy still recognised us from the last time we were there ( last year ). Check in was fast and we had upgrade to deluxe suite room 2nd floor. The room so nice, clean, huge balcony, beautiful garden, ocean and pool view. We had a huge king bed and separated lounge and dining area. We went straight to pool bar and for our surprise they all remember and happy to see us again. Breakfast at Ramada is awesome, a lot of variety. Ibu Oka the receptionist from the breakfast restaurant is very nice lady. Me and my daughter trued Theta Spa for a body massage, it was really good although a little bit priceys. You can get 30% discount at Theta soa from 7pm until closing time 11pm. House keeping staffs are wonderful, our room is neat and spotless every day. Dinner time we went to Wharf , really good spare Ribs, a lot of variety children meal, and nice cocktails drink buy 2 get 1 free. What a bargain!!! Did I mentioned about sunset at Ramada ??? Is the best spot to chill at the pool bar!! This hotel is definitely our second home, we wont stay anywhere else but Ramada. Special thanks to Mr Wowon and Front Office Manager you guys are amazing. The best service we ever experience in Bali. Cant wait for another holiday. Xxx Lim Family

Excellent overall experience. Staff were amazing, friendly as I have ever experienced. Rooms were lovely and pool was really cool with nice swim up bar, hot and cold baths.
Only thing I would pick on is that we had a bit of an issue with our shower, but it didn't dampen our overall experience.
Would definately recommend this place, I will absolutley be going back!

Room Tip: We found that having a room closer to the pool was handy as the hotel is quite spread out.
