Once again our stay at Bali Dynasty was wonderful. We were there for Xmas and New Year. This time we brought our 2 sons, brother inlaw, sister inlaw & their 2 sons with us. All agreed it was a great place to stay. We enjoyed a great Xmas day buffet lunch in Senses. The staff as usual are outstanding, so friendly & accommodating. On arrival I was greeted by Warsi the guest relations person who remembered my name from our last stay nearly 2 years ago.It was good to catch up with Suma the Front Office Manager who has become a good friend, Harry the pool attendant was his usual charming self. He remembered us and especially our 22 year old son Justin. I have only 2 complaints. Nothing to do with the hotel or staff. It's to the very selfish people who get up early and place their towels on the pool lounges to reserve a spot then go shopping or back to their rooms. It is very frustating to go to the pool area and see so many unattended pool lounges with towels on them and not being used. One morning my wife and I were enjoying an early breakfast at H20 by 7.30 am just about every pool lounge had a towel placed on them. The hotel does have a policy on this but is not policed properly. My other complaint is again over selfish people who get an umbrella from the concierge when it is raining and don't return them opting to keep them in their rooms. You have to sign for an umbrella when taking one.The solution to this problem as far as I am concerened would be to charge the room $5.00 per day if the umbrella is not returned on the day of use. Apart from that our stay was great. We will be back. Bali Dynasty Resort Hotel is our home when in Bali. We look forward to meeting old friends from the hotel at the back to Dynasty party in Perth February 2014. As they say at the Dynasty "friends for Life"

Return visit in January and another great time with our three kids. We were allocated our preferred family pool view room which has many advantages for us but also some negatives that at times can annoy you. Mainly the constant noise and action in and around the pool but this is the price you pay if you want your family altogether in one room and close access to the pool. For us returning to a hotel room away from the pool with small children is not an option, we love the fact we can sit in our sun lounge around the pool and the kids come and go in and out of the room under constant supervision. It's for this reason we love the family pool view room, but at night when you want to chill on your verandah after dinner or shopping you have to put up with loads kids in the pool screaming and running around until they are kicked out at 10pm. It can get very noisy and distracting, hard to sit and have a quiet drink on your balcony or get an early night. Facilities are good but looking a little tired, needs an upgrade in rooms and around the pool area, paving could be upgraded around the pool. Staff are the best and make this hotel a standout in service and friendliness. Nothing is too much trouble and by the time you leave you have made new friendships with staff. Our man Hendra in H20 was the best, genuine, caring and a wonderful young father who we got to meet his wife and young son. A great man. This is the same with all staff who will help out anyway they can. As for the wifi, terrible. I still do not understand how the hotel can justify the poor wifi and failure to make free for guests. This is unacceptable in today's Wireless world, and excuses from the hotel are excuses to generate more money from guests. Free wifi in some parts of the hotel were slow and more often then not didn't work. Staff tried to help but they too could not get wifi service for us when in Gracie Kelly's. Very poor wifi and unacceptable. We had a breakfast deal of $24 US for each day of our stay. We were charged on check in for this each day but as we arrived after breakfast had finished on day one we paid for no breakfast and again on our last when we had to leave on the first flight home in the morning. This was not refundable when I queried this on check out which was very disappointing. But a good deal none the less over the time for a family. if you want a hotel with excellent atmosphere, family oriented and much people watching opportunity then this hotel is for you. The kids will love the slide, and you will love the staff. The negative is that you need to put up with some rowdy, and often feral Australians who forget rules and etiquette for appropriate behaviour. Just because your on holiday doesn't mean you let your kids have no rules or behaviour whilst you sit and get pissed at the bar. A little work needed around the hotel to modernise the rooms and pool area and that wifi! Make sure you at at the Indian restaurant at the front of the hotel, outstanding food!

I stayed here for three night son business and as a location it is good, being close to the airport and reasonable access for Kuta. I am not a fan of Kuta beach but this was very close and the downtown trappings of Kuta were not far away.

The staff were very good and the room was excellent and well appointed for this class of hotel.

The one let down was the food options....yes they have plenty of options but the options they have are clearly geared towards the leisure clientele they have and from which markets - which is a good thing for them, but being a person there on business and who travels in the region frequently, it didn't quite tick my boxes :-)

Other than that it was a good experience and I would stay there again if I needed the Kuta area and maybe just go out to eat more :-)

Room Tip: If you are offered a room overlooking the pool take it otherwise your outlook is quiet but across the tops of other buildings / shops....
