“great value for money”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

we stayed for 10 days a party of 11 people. Rooms were lovely (interconncting) which was essential travelling with children.
food was nice and staff very friendly. the grounds and pool areas were so beautiful, very balinese .
there was table tennis and pool for the kids to play.
very central location walking distance to kuta beach and lots of beautiful restaurants,
we all had a fab time during our stay.
lots of renovations were just being finished and new rooms look amazing.
bathrooms need a facelift but i think the is what they are in the process of doing.
would stay again :)

Room Tip: ask to stay in the newly renovated pool side rooms :)

Having stayed in Bali many times, I found this hotel to be very basic. However, I guess you get what you pay for - we got a really cheap rate. We were a party of 4 women who stayed here in early December. The first rooms we were offered (superior rooms I think) were just not nice at all and we requested a room upgrade with reception shortly after arrival. We are not fussy - but there was no way we could have spent 8 nights in these rooms - they were awful. Luckily reception upgraded us to 2 interconnecting suites on day 2 which are located off the walkway leading from the reception area and these were much more acceptable. They have a small private courtyard too. These are usually more expensive - but they upgraded us free of charge. The bathroom and toilets were still not fantastic however - toilets didn't flush well. At the time, the hotel was mainly full of younger people - this was not a problem for us, but some older guests may not appreciate this. Breakfast was very basic - enough for us ladies, but compared to many other hotels I have stayed at - not a good breakfast. The pool area was very nice and I think the best thing about this hotel was the location. Not far to walk to Matahari's etc. Personally, I would choose to stay at a different hotel if I went on vacation with my husband - would not recommend for couples - depends on your budget though I guess!

Room Tip: Recommend the suites or villas nearer the reception area only.

It was our first time staying at this resort we usually stay at the Ramanyana found the staff friendly our room 275 was good although there was no hairdryer, clock and tv was small, but found the breakfast to be very poor, always running out food and the juice watered down, and the variety of food was lacking,We have been to Bali many times often going 2 to 3 times a year and have never had a problem with anything missing from our room but unfortunately this time a bag of our presents were taken from our room and we didn't realise until we got home. But on a positive note the grounds and pool area were extremely pleasant

We had a delux room & our friends a superior room. Both rooms had single beds, ours pushed together our friends not able to be moved cause of table & wires in between. Would not recommend for couples.

Room Tip: They said they didn't have enough double bed rooms even though the hotel wasn't full, all ho...

I guess after staying at the Ramayana the last 5 times (which is next door) I think we were a bit spoilt, after paying $80 bucks a night I thought we would get a nice room but instead we were put down the back in a average room with 2 single beds pushed together to make a double bed,no clock, kettle took 3 weeks to boil & then didn,t turn off,no room safe, had to borrow a pillow from another room,i could go on & on,at least the air con worked. Now on a brighter side Wayan at the front desk was very helpful,(maybe we should of complained about the room)Warni & Julie we very good at breaky & around the pool. The Pool guy was hard to get on with,at one time I went to hand in my towel & he wasn,t there(which was most of time)so the next day he said I should of taken it back to my room,(very rude person).Rooms are cleaned daily, breakfast just average but very helpful with eggs & coffee. Also on a good note Location is spot on & the people you meet are fantastic, met a lot of nice people from all over Aust & a couple from Norway. The Hotel should be a lot better once the Renovations have finished, you get used to the noise after the first week.Yes I think I,ll be staying somewhere else next trip, and as frequent Bali travellers I wished they had of looked after us & other people we met a bit better. And I know these comments will be falling on deaf ears.

Room Tip: Wait until renovations have finished.

Lovely friendly hotel in the heart of Kuta. Experienced no noise problems. It was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was delightful. Everything you could want on this sort of holiday from fruits to Balinese delights. Staff were very friendly like most of the Balinese people we had the pleasure to meet. We we're not there long. It was just a few nights however we hired a driver who took us around the island for the day. Would recommend the monkey sanctuary and also the temple on the sea was so beautiful. We also had the pleasure of receiving some very good leg and back massages at a local shop. Excellent. Most of all though we met some great Australians, Victor, Sally, phil and Andrew. Pool banter was fun. Loved it. Can't wait to go back.

The hotel's a 5min walk from Kuta Beach and is right next door to great restaurants and spas. We got a Deluxe Room for three people, and it had sufficient room for all of us. There was a nice balcony overlooking the garden it was just a bit of a walk from the lobby to our room. The room was generally clean, but their doors need an upgrade. The pools were great, the pictures on their site and even on tripadvisor really do it justice. They even had balls and floaters that you can play around with. Staff were friendly also. The breakfast buffet was pretty decent and tasty. All in all, a great hotel to stay in.
