We first visited Karma in March 2012, for a quick drink while out riding. It was a breath of fresh air, and we loved it. The setting was spectacular; white wooden furniture, day beds on the beach, lots of bean bags for lounging, and private bales for your use. It was oozed ambience.
We returned the following day with a group of 8 for breakfast. It was sensational, the staff great, and food excellent.
We returned the next night with a group of 14 for sunset drinks and dinner. This place couldn't get any better. Lots of drinks and dinner for 14 was under $AUD700 (less than $50 per head).
We had intended to go back for breakfast today (June 2012), however, upon arrival, were heartbroken to find that they had closed down. The building is being dismantled, so it looks pretty permanent.
What happened? It only opened in December 2011, and was paradise. I'm very sad indeed.
