Probably one of the nicer beaches in South - West Bali, when judging just the views! Good thing is, that it's not crowded, rather peaceful. Number of surfers riding quite a big waves. Unfortunately in order to get to the beach you will have to go via a terrible dirty walkway (!!!) Also a lot of dogs on the beach itself! Toilet facilities appalling! ohhh and don't forget to arrange with the driver who takes you there - to also pick you up, as the taxi prices on the spot are twice as higher!

Surfers paradise due to large waves (but learners better go to Jimbaran and intermediate to Dreamland beaches). Balangan is also popular for newly weds photo shoots at sunset. Check out the interesting rock formations when the tide is out. Also a small cave temple in the cliff. A larger beachside temple sits in front of caves and before sunset flocks of bats emerge.

If you need some me-time, away from people, than this is the perfect beach for you. The view is simply amazing, with cliffs, blue ocean, and bright sky, you will be stay in here for hours. But careful if you wanna walk on the coast. This beach have rocks and reefs on its bed, so it can hurt your feet if you didn't walk carefully. But beside of that, this is one of the best beach in Bali.

Balangan beach is one of my favorite beach in Bali. The first time I went to Balangan Beach in early 2014 I was very impressed with the beaut. Love the blue crystal water, white soft sand, green cliff and blue sky. What I love the most is this beach felt exclusive, only few people know it and I pray it remains still so it's not becoming one of tourist object like Kuta or Dreamland or Pandawa beaches that is getting crowded and dirty. But that's just impossible. People know it and second time I went there few months later, there are more trash on the cliff. Then this June I visited again, the cliff even brown -not fresh green anymore. Guessed there are too many wedding ceremony and pre-wedding photography going on. Big trucks and cars are everywhere now and more trash on the ground. I'm sure everyone don't mind to share the beauty but clearly not everyone mind to trash. I hope people don't litter and keep the place clean so this beach remain beautiful and clean and everyone got to see the best of it.

Balangan beach is a hidden gem. It is a bit of a trek to reach it as you have to go down quite a steep rocky path but you will be rewarded when you get there. It is so quiet and beautiful there, the waves are mesmerising to watch and is fun to watch the surfers in action. There are hardly any tourists there and most people in the centre of bali have never even heard of it. There are balinese people living so close to the beach but they are always friendly and say hello. There are women who come round asking if you would like a massage every so often but they are harmless and are actually quite sweet. Anyone who is rude to them are just *******... you have to remember we are stepping on their territory so being rude to them cuz you don't want a sarong is out of order! I wouldn't recommend eating in any of the cafes though as most likely you will end up with a frozen pizza! Ps. Great shells on the beach too.. have a look!
