We had a great stay at The Kana Kuta. Great discounted price and best service. Feels like staying at the 5 star hotel with the best and approachable hotel staffs. The hotel is recommended for Muslim travellers as I was informed by the hotel staff that the foods served are Halal.

We really enjoyed the breakfast there!! Nice omelet and fruit!! Reasonable price.. nice staff.. we actually chose pool view with balcony... bt the first room we had got wasnt that good view.. so my friend who arrived first asked to change to better one.. and we ve got the better one.. we really appreciate ur caring!!

The Kuta is a very safe choice indeed, and is diffucult to find anything to point the finger at. We came by drop in to check out the hotel in advance, before we made the reservation. Still we were warmly recieved and showed around the hotel by staff and the manager mr Jayastica. After this we decided to book a room for 9 days (three people). We got a very good impression at first, and didn't got dissapointed during the stay. The room (wih balcony) was nicely decorated, a good size balcony facing the pool, and tasteful deorated bathroom- were everything worked as it's supposed too (no clogging of the sink, no construction errors and so on.. not to be taken for granted in my experience).

The staff was extremely friendly and the manager regulary came down chatting to the guests and staff on the floor.. (how often does this happen..?) Breakfast had a very good selection of asian and continental choices. And well prepared too. Also, you can safly order something from the meny other times, as the hotel chef are a good one.. We did, several times, and can especially recommend the fried bana dish - very yummy! Overall impression is a well run hotel with staff that actually likes to go to work.

Previously i stayed in Mercure Nusa Dua for Nyepi on 30 Mar - 1 Apr and then I stayed here at The Kana for 1 night on 1 april 2014. I really enjoyed my stay here because from the first time im arrived, the staff were very friendly and responsive. While they're preparing our room, they gave us a snack and welcome drink (which i didnt get it at Mercure Nusa Dua).

When we go to our room, im so excited that the room were very big, clean, well decorated, and smells good. They even provide us 3 complimentary mineral water (usually a hotel only gave 2 compl mineral water).

After that when it comes to a breakfast, the breakfast are even better than Mercure. Why? because they serve variety of sushi roll, and the taste are sooo goooddd..hehe..

I definately will stay here again..

Positive:
Hotel is new, so the room and furniture are in tip/top condition.
Level 2+3 has a balcony, with table/chairs, quite usefull in the evening.
Price is hard to beat, so absolutly value for Money, and staff keeps the nice Indonesian standard ( think we could learn a bit in EU ).
~25 min. walk from the Beach.
Only negative, from my point of view, is the location with a limited choice of restaurants/shops nearby.

New hotel, great location in walking distance to all the Kuta action, beach, Bali Galleria Mall and Waterbom (watch out for gaping holes in the sidewalk around the hotel though). Less than 10 minutes taxi ride to the airport (fare is around 35k). Excellent breakfast with egg and noodle station, english and indonesian food, the only letdown was the juice which was not made from fresh fruit.

Taxi drivers generally don't know this hotel, so make sure you have the street address with you (jl. setiabudi) when you go out.

Clean, quiet, modern rooms with AC and TV, however a bit generic without the "balinese touch" as seen in Ubud hotels. Three free glass water bottles per day. The view from a room was towards a rubbish pile on the neighbor property, quite a common sight in Bali unfortunately.

Friendly, attentive staff and security guards. A tasty prawn cracker treat is served on check in, along with the welcome drink.

I paid $46 AUD per night, which was really good value for money.

We stayed at The Kana Kuta hotel for two nights in March 2014, during our brief stopover in Kuta, Bali, en route to Ubud. The hotel lived up to its raving reviews in all respects.

The rooms were very clean and pleasantly decorated; the spacious, open-concept lobby had a distinct Balinese / Executive feel, and the large sunken swimming pool provided a lovely backdrop for the hotel restaurant. The outstanding breakfast buffet consisted of an incredible variety of western and Indonesian foods, including extraordinary options such as Sushi rolls, and a soup bar where you could make your own creation from a number of available ingredients.

The hotel was within sight of the huge Galleria shopping mall, but a little further from the heart of Kuta's busy beach scene, which could be easily reached in five minutes by taxi, or a twenty minute walk. As such, it was conveniently located, but far enough away to offer a quiet night's sleep.

But perhaps the best feature of all, for us, was the exceptional service provided when we were confronted with a minor dilemma. We had planned to renew our tourist visas when in Kuta, very naively assuming the process would be a simple one day procedure. So we were in a bit of a bind when told the process would in fact take six business days, and would involve three steps, as we had already committed to arriving in Ubud later that day. We will be forever grateful to the staff at The Kana Kuta, in particular the Front Office Manager, Agung, for going to the trouble to complete Step Two and delivering our payment for the Visas on our behalves, so that we could pick up them up as soon as possible without having to make the additional extra trip from Ubud.

Professional, efficient, welcoming, and friendly, the staff displayed a great deal of pride in their hotel. It was a pleasure staying at The Kana Kuta, and we highly recommend this hotel.
