After passing by several evenings to see this street-side eatery full of customers and displaying a a Trip Advisor award, I dropped in for lunch. I chose the Asian Crunchy Salad and Won Ton Soup. I found the salad a little under-seasoned, but the soup was rich and delicious. Drinks are served in kitschy Mason jars.
The restaurant, whose decor could be described as "early modern factory", faces a 3 meter high wall, increasingly covered with graffiti. The wall helps to protect the Sheraton Hotel and block a potential beach view. The restaurant plays highly-percussionated music occasionally punctuated by the unmuffled exhausts of motorbikes passing along Jl. Poppies II. The high wall helps to amplify the motorbikes and explains why soft Sundanese gamalong background music wouldn't work.
