We had a great stay at this hotel in Kuta. It's right down the street from the Bali Memorial - and 1 block back from the Kuta Beach, 15 mins walk to Seminyak and a less than AU$10 Taxi ride to most places worth visiting near by.

The pool is on the small side - but plenty big enough to escape the Bali heat. It has a staffed bar (10-10pm) and half price cocktails most of the day. Beers were dirt cheap at $1.50 for a small Bintang. You must try the Avocado smoothie - sounds gross but is actually nice!

Pool side food was very cheap - most things on the menu are less than AU$8 per plate.

Bed was very comfortable - I can't believe it only costs AU$60 to stay here incl breakfast in the pool view rooms.

The resort is too small for a longer stay (more than a week) - as it doesn't have amenities to keep you entertained - like TV in english - sadly restricted to only the Australia Channel.

Room Tip: Take a pool view room on 3rd floor. (but not if you dont like stairs)

It was perfect location if you wanted to stay in Kuta and to be close to all Legian or Seminyak. Good walk to Seminyak. It is three star but so worth it. Set well back to the main street so you didn't hear the hustle and bustle of the bars and clubs. Rooms were clean and well presented however the shower was a bit of a battle with hot and cold water. Nothing really to complain about though. (Caravan parks are worse) Staff were wonderful, friendly and very accommodating. Pool was dated but it was clean, cool and very refreshing. What more do you want! $1.50 Bintangs at Happy Hour are fantastic anywhere. We were happy to pay less for accommodation and then eat at the nicer restaurants in Seminyak.
Breakfast was basic but still reasonable. If you really want to experience low cost accommodation at a great location and well kept. This is the place to go. We will definitely go here again. Thanks Matahari Bungalow....you were great

Room Tip: There are three flights of stairs to the top floor of some rooms, so unless you are capable of walki...

On a good street for shopping etc, pool was great with pool bar and the breakfast was okay but limited. Rooms are old, bad for Mosquitos and bathrooms are pretty simple. We paid a lot for this but I wouldn't want to be paying more than $25 a night otherwise. I'm sure there are better places?!

The location of the hotel is really great. It is close to shopping areas, restaurants and night clubs.
The outside area is lovely, and the pool is great (beware, ladies, that you are not allowed to swim there during your period!).
The rooms are tired, but clean. The bathroom is very simple. The restaurant closes at 23 (we once experienced that the lights were turned off while we were still sitting there playing cards). There are only wifi in the restaurant and pool area, not in the rooms.
The breakfast is very simple, but the gekkos are nice.

An old hotel with charm and friendly staff. Close to shops and night life. The rooms are not fancy but are clean. Staff are very helpful and deal with any issues straight away. Great hotel for families. Have booked here again to travel in August. If you want fancy hotel with big breakfast then don't stay here but if you want budget hotel, friendly staff average breakfast and great location then this the hotel to stay at.

I guess you get what you pay for BUT I always expect a top sheet on a bed and a spare pillow without asking! When you open the door of the room you see old furniture, smell a musky smell and struggle to see in the dark room. It doesn't have to be that way.... with just a few small improvements it could be good...... But its run down.... the poolside is worn out, even the menus are corrected with whiteout and over written..
BUT...... the staff are pleasant and the location, as mentioned by others, is convenient if you want a quick shop before you leave........

Room Tip: If you ask for a pool view, make sure you say ground floor (of that's what you like) they're...

I was staying there with my husband. We booked the standard room with very cheap price. When we arrived at the hotel, they ran out the standard room. Luckily they upgraded us into deluxe room. This deluxe room located on the ground floor with garden view. Room size is quite large, with clean bathroom. The bedsheet also clean, no dirty spot. Breakfast is very standart, we could only order 1 menu. The breakfast area is near the pool. Location is very strategic, in the heart of Legian, where you can find anything... shops, atm, convinience store, money changer, tour agents, spa, car & motorcycle rentals. Worth to stay in Legian area for their cheap and clean rooms.
