“LOSTari”
Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

1. At check in at 0130am we were told our room air con not working and we were to be moved to losari sunset into a better room.

2 The room we were given didn't have a bath as we had booked.

3 We were supplied with 2 right slippers and no left slippers.

4 Our breakfast was cold and while eating, the gardener covered us with brown liquid fertiliser. The staff said its only water. Not true.

5 Our door card didn't work so we were locked out of our room

6 We were delivered to losari in Legian and noticed other groups of people from sunset too so we worked out the hotel had overbooked and told guests a wrong story.

7. At losari Legian. We were told we would receive the best room because of the inconvenience. Not true

8. The bed squeaked every time we moved.

9. The shower water was cold and had no pressure.

10. The toilet didn't flush properly.

11. Again the breakfast was cold

12. The coffee was cold

13. The fruit was not ripe.

14. After being told we would receive laundry on one day, we couldn't get it til the following day.

15. We were constantly lied to by your staff.

16. Our room was advertised as having dining area but didn't.

My partner is Indonesian and understood what was said and what we were told and it was 2 different stories.

NEGATIVES: Many previous visits before have been average stays, unfortunately this time was no different. Customer service skills were NOT demonstrated. Breakfast is a chore and housekeeping went AWOL. One genuine reception staff member made my stay bearable. POSITIVES: Location and affordability. Losari is nestled in the middle of Shopping Restaurants and Bars. A 10 min walk to beaches is a positive. Hotel is safe and has 24hr Security. RESULT: I will give Losari another chance due to its convenient location only.

Room Tip: Rooms are consistent with each other.

The hotel is ideally located for those who want to step out into Garlic lane, shopping and bartering abound, many restaurants, bars and cafes within a short stroll to choose from. Rooms are clean and we found the 2 room suite very spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The pool was lovely and clean, though with little sunshine on it, it was cold...and I didnt see anyone in it after about 4 pm.
The biggest downfall, and why we will never return to the Losari was the noise. Our suite was situated on the second floor overlooking Garlic lane, so you had the noise of bikes, cars, people and bartering day and night. Step outside our internal door and your view was to the downstairs eating area/restaurnat in which the entire hotel ate breakfast and other meals etc every day. The band for the eating area/restaurant in the evenings were situation directly one floor below our room. Workmen were replacing floor tiling in rooms in the floors above us, so there was the sound of tapping hammers and laying tiles day and night...up until11 p.m. For a mature couple, who were on their delayed honeymoon (we married in January) it was not ideal. Also the hotel seems to be frequented by busloads of people on tours or conferences. They were mostly not a problem until two bus loads of young ones arrived for two nights and you couldn't move in the restaurant, and the two occupants from the bus who were placed in the room next to ours were up talking and with music loudly till 2 am. One really good point though was the lift, saved aching legs at the end of the day from the stairs. Overall, nice enough hotel ...pity it is so darn noisy.

Room Tip: Do not pay extra for a suite, you are best to have the smaller standard rooms towards the back of th...

Stayed here again early April simply because of great location in Legian and close to Kuta as well with a short walk to Legian beach and it's surf break. Staff were still as friendly and lovely thing was they remembered us and shook hands with plenty of smiles all around.
There were no problems with the room at all, good aircon and linen changed daily. B'fast buffet was as expected, still rather simple and don't forget to ask for egg dishes.
All our travel requirements were handled okay with no problems.

Stay here again? Yep

Room Tip: Pool view is quieter and next time we'll try a Villa, just for a change

We chose this hotel for its location, for a friends birthday celebration. The rooms were clean, however the toilet didn't fush properly and the shower tap came apart in my hand. The staff were not overly friendly, and were quite lazy and unhelpful, and on checkout were completely unorganized, presenting us with a bill which we paid and then decided we had to wait while they checked the mini bar! 20 minutes later and sorted...
We stayed for 4 days and the swim up bar was not open at all-apparently you have to give them an hours notice so they can turn the fridge on.
The menu was quite good-we had to eat there on the Day of Silence-but the breakfast was boring, cold and unappealing-if you stick to the omlettes it's ok.
as the saying goes-you get what you pay for!

Room Tip: The restaurant up the road "Ours" is the best!!!

Have stayed at Losari 4-5 times, the service is fantastic and the rooms are well presented. Not a luxury hotel but has everything you could ask for when just wanting somewhere to sleep. The breakfast buffet is simple but has everything you need

Room Tip: The ground floor rooms the come off the back pool are great as no one really uses this pool so feels...
